^Well, I wanted a winner, but it was a heck of a game, and LA has a great team, so I'll take the draw. Hope they had a good time in town . . . because they'll be back! 
Union Station would have to be the place to stay for a game. (Mind you, I say that when my mom is giving us a couple nights at 21C as a belated anniversary present. And we're going to go to the final KC game from said venue. I almost tried to talk her into Union Station instead for silly railfan reasons, but she's quite hep on 21C and wants to experience it vicariously.) Great pics, by the way. Yours, or the team's? Love it! Hope they have a good time, but maybe slightly less good next time.

Knowing they were in Union Station and that they had been out walking earlier it was strange to see them in the pregame getting off a bus at the stadium.

^One thing I was just thinking about since we clinched is that if we are able to keep home field advantage, the games are most likely going to be 2 home games and 1 away game for every final, so there's a chance for a decent bit of extra home games if we do well.
Also I'm getting ahead of myself, but you gotta think with the MLS2 games hitting 10K tickets sold 2 times already that getting a NWSL team could be on the horizon?

Did we all miss this news last year? When did General Dynamics move to downtown and take enough space to get a building signage? Only thing I can find that mentions them (both in passing) being at the Globe building is a LinkedIn

Hmmm. Interesting. Lot of younger folks may not realize that their HQ had been in Clayton for many years before they moved to the East Coast. Nice to see them bringing some jobs back.

Yes, because other than a few office workers in their HQ they didn’t have much of any presence in St. Louis. They wanted the MD ceo to run GD. He did for a while and when he was done GD left.

Just to give you any idea who moves to downtown- Met my new next door neighbors today- 50s, empty nesters, sold house in Fairview Heights to down size (although the unit they got is 2600 sq feet with a 800 sq foot balcony) always wanted to live in downtown.
^^ I'm in that same demographic, in my 50's and living in the county near the office but tired of having to drive for everything. I would like to find something that offers restaurants/bars, grocery and a park within a 5-10 minute bike ride.
Still waiting for that all glass, 12 story ‘pool on the roof’, ‘Aldi on the ground floor’ combo.

Friends Bar and Grill on Wash Ave is closed. They were apparently unable to get a liquor license…

The liquor license process for the city sounds completely broken. That location's been a restaurant/bar for 15+ years; not sure why it's suddenly a problem for it to have a liquor license. As it is today, downtown is fine. It's ok. Good enough. Just another city. The thing that separates STL from other places is the residential architecture. Top 8 in US. Could have been top 3 if not for the destruction.

Some data from Cushman Wakefield for Q2 office and Q1 multifam (this does not appear to capture about 600 units coming online in Downtown west this year with Victor and the building at 19th and Washington)
Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but negative rent growth is not great. This could be cope, but maybe this is largely driven by aging 90’s warehouse apartments, but there is a market for newer amenity rich buildings such as one cardinal way. So if butler brothers and the spruce building leases well, we could still get some infill downtown
