Yeah, well the Parliament website looks like the newest date it has listed was a month ago so it doesn't look like it's been updated in a little while.

Don't they sing "We Want the Fudge," "Pop Gun" and "Aqua Booger"?

Tickets went on sale yesterday at 5pm and there is a link on the Orpheum website to George Clintons site so it must be legit. I am seconds away from purchasing tickets myself.

I'm not a huge George Clinton fan, but for those of you who go, please let us know how the theater looks. Is it in good shape or falling apart? Have there been noticeable improvements?

I just noticed a lot of grafitti on the south side wall of the theatre. It is unsightly. Maybe someone at least wants to get the Roberts Brothers to patch and paint that wall. Now they will have to blast it as well in parts (where it is on the stone).

Totally off topic but I noticed last night graffiti on the top cornice of the University Lofts. When will the City make stopping this a priority!

Got to hand it to the Roberts Brothers, they're completely repainting the entire building. The north and east facades have been painted, and the south wall is almost done. It looks good!

Does anyone know if the exterior balcony and facade fronting St. Charles Street has been restored yet? Part of it was dismantled the last I saw.

It is being rebuilt now. The steel is up and some concrete has been poured.

Great photo. Any idea when it will be complete? is it supposed to resemble the original?

I think it will look exactly like the original...Walking by one day, a guy who seemed to be connected with the theater told me they are waiting on materials... That is the hold up...

I would love to see some musicians booked there that would normally do the pageant.

Exactly. It seems oddly underutilized. I've never been in, but I've never heard a single negative report about the place. Given the location, one would think that a lot more acts would want to use that space.

a little to the topic, but I saw Beck (with Hank III) in January of 2000 and Moby in 2000 or 2001 and both were great shows. I really hope they bring that type of show back...

Totally. I remember seeing Wilco there on their A.M. tour - probably the best show I've seen at the American (and that was pre-Pageant). It would be nice to get some good shows booked there again.

Well the Stache Bash will be there Oct 30, according to the marquee. So, um, it's definitely being put to good use. . . . . .
