I'd be more pleased with eligible misses, but to each their own.OneGus wrote:It was nice to find out that they are adding a hot tub and the new additional patio area will have misters. I'm pleased with that!

Does anyone know what the final color scheme will be like?
I hope that the developers don't keep the storefront casements painted that wretched putty color, which clashes with the brown windows above, the black windows on the north elevation and the garish green of the Cassilly cornice.

Yes, we've been here since the end of August, but people have slowly been moving in. We've been the only people on our floor until this week. I still haven't heard anything on the retail yet. I may have posted this earlier, but I know before the sales staff had told us that there were restrictions on the type of places that could go in there. For instance, it won't be a bar or liquor store. So I don't know if that could be hurting them filling it. It seems like such a good location that I hope something good comes soon!

I wish they would. It just doesn't look "finished" without it.

the place is a piece of you know what....shocking that it is not full. I think not. I feel sorry for those that are in the building...good luck.

OneGus and others - I hope the Bogan's been a great place to live - IMO it's a beautiful building. But, I did see a couple adds on craigslist for "developers close-outs" with a couple units that were supposedly listed for $320K originally now listed at $260K. That's never good.
I dont think it is a "close out" More like "we will sell them at the market price." We liked the Bogen, but the prices were outrageous compared to everything else we saw on the loft tour. Hopefully it will sell fast now.

Obviously that's true, but I'm guessing it means that those already in paid substantially more for their units.

Possible translation: The bank is selling them
The bank is NOT selling them.
The sales management company has a strategy at all their properties to discount two or three homes a month to keep sales number up.
They won't budge on discounting the other units. It's only the pre-selected lofts.[/quote]

I only brought up that possibility because it already happened at one of the Downtown West developments (I forget which one) several months ago.

Yesterday, the owners had red awnings put at the corners and a black awning at the entrance. Could the color scheme get any more confused? Now we have the green cornice, the brown upper floor windows (a great color choice for the building), the disgusting putty colored storefronts, some silver aluminum doors, some black aluminum doors and windows and now bright red awnings. What? The lower two levels seriously look unfinished.
I was just think the same thing this morning when I saw the awnings. I have been very disappointed in the way this building has turned out, it just seems so unfinished. Does anyone know if there are plans to do anymore to finish this building off??? This really could and should be one of the best looking buildings.

I like the awnings, but like Michael said, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the whole color scheme.
The building also needs more exterior lighting.

The awnings could be fine. The developers just need to pick one color for the storefronts and stick to it.

I think they are trying to differentiate between the residential access and the retail by color coding them.
Just a guess. Not saying you have to like them, just saying.

Again, no problem here with the awinings. My problem is with the overall incoherent (and ugly) color selections.
