900?

Large?

OK, my school was about 1100 and it was 4A...900 would be 3A...not real big there guy.

Did you leave a zero off that tally? Now that would be a big school...

I think he meant size as in geographical area...

However Wikipedia says it's the third largest in the state of Texas not the largest in the nation.

Maybe they called it the most "oversized," because of its size compared to its attendance. Itll probably be overcrowed in a few years, because of Texas growth.

I graduated at a school with 800 students. The school I went to for college was even smaller, compared to your average 4 year school. I think it had about 2,000 students.

I meant large by size not population.

So it isnt the biggest in the nation? Dang i have got to stop listening to my principals. They lie too much about sizes of schools. maybe they meant largest in South east Texas. Oh well. Third largest in the state is still insane.

Now my brother was in a school of 3200 people, now that is insane.

Any birthdate after the 70s makes me feel old. I remember when I dated a girl who was two years behind me in HS, she was born in 80 and it just felt weird to me.

So, what brings you here? Interest in the revitalization of Downtown and the surrounding area. I was referred to this excellent site by someone from another local forum who recently bought a loft on Washington.

What part of the STL are you from? the Metro East - about fifteen minutes away from Downtown in southern Madison County. My family settled here when my father was stationed at Scott in the summer of 1989.

How old are you? 27

What do you do, or study? I am a quality control supervisor for a bridge/road contractor. Graduated from SIUE in 2002 after beginning my college experience at the Colorado School of Mines. I'm looking to get another bachelor's, or possible a graduate degree, in the near future.

So, what brings you here? Initially I was just interested in the construction projects that I walk by every day on my way to school, but I was soon hooked with the fascinating discussion of the revitalization of the city at large.

What part of the STL are you from? I'm not. I was born and grew up in Southeastern Michigan, about an hour from Detroit. I guess my family is about as anti-urban as you can get, my parents were both born in Detroit, and hate it for what it became, and see no reason ever to go there again, even though it has experienced a slight revitalization of sorts with the Compuware building, Campus Martius park, and the stadia. I'm a big fan of living in a small town, where I grew up, but I also love living in a city like STL, I guess the most important factor for me is a sense of place, something that generic suburbs lack, but cities and small towns both have in abundance.

How old are you? 23

What do you do, or study? 2nd year medical student at Wash U.
