Question: Is our Bosnian population still growing? Stable? Declining?

I'm asking about the entire region, not just the City.

I would suspect that their birth rates are still somewhat higher than the natural born average. Bosnia also isn't in the most stable place politically right now, another Balkan war isn't out of the cards in the medium term. I'm sure DB could probably speak in more detail about it. Not that our current administration would likely allow more Muslim refugees into the US should that occur

The Trump administration’s DOJ has removed a study from the NIJ website that found that immigrants, and particularly undocumented immigrants, commit crimes at significantly lower rates than U.S. citizens. https://bsky.app/profile/ashtonpittman.bsky.social/post/3lmpojri4kk2f

"A bill from Alderwoman Daniela Velázquez would eliminate the rules requiring the main bedroom to be the largest in a house, limiting it to two occupants, and mandating extra space for each child under 6 years old."

The goal of thd bill is to attract immigrants and large, multigenerational families. It was supported by groups who seek to attract immigrants to the city.

Yeah, it's a dangerous slope.

I get that relaxing housing rules to allow poor people to live in more dangerous conditions is a dangerous slope. The guidelines outlined in that bill are not that. It’s perfectly reasonable.

This is/was just an example of needless overregulation from the city, largely impacting new house construction I assume.
