I'm really looking forward to Tony and Albert appearing with Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck.

didn't Glenn Beck say it was a complete coincidence?innov8ion wrote: It's to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King.
The Gas House Gang begs to differ though as a boy who grew up on the Cards of the 70s I'm inclined to agree with you.bonwich wrote:Y'all could have been much happier about the Cardinals had you just recognized the curse. It's an odd decade. Invest yourselves again emotionally in 2020.
Perhaps Tony LaRussa and Albert Pujols should've focused on baseball instead. LaRussa supposedly accepted the invitation to appear at Glenn Beck's event because he was assured it wouldn't be a political event. With Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin in attendance? Yeah, right. Anyway, the Cardinals have become almost as painful to watch as an event featuring Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. I agree with DeBaliviere, the Rams played a great game Thursday night, and it was the most fun I've had watching a St. Louis sports event in a long time even though I realize it was only a preseason game.lukethedrifter wrote:Something like that.innov8ion wrote:It's to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King.lukethedrifter wrote:Why to Restore Honor to our great country, of course. Irony, I assume?
No surprise really. The KTRS experiment was largely a failure.TimeForGuinness wrote:Cards are back on KMOX in 2011
they were talking about this on the Point. apparently they're switching to KMOX so that they have greater range, right?TimeForGuinness wrote:Cards are back on KMOX in 2011
What if you're in your car? Or somewhere else without Internet access? I'm just saying.Nerfdude wrote:they were talking about this on the Point. apparently they're switching to KMOX so that they have greater range, right?TimeForGuinness wrote:Cards are back on KMOX in 2011
well, this is 2010. point your internet-enabled whatever to

and click on "listen now", and there you go. i'm just saying.
KTRS said it plans to move its station to a first-floor location in Ballpark Village when the development is complete.
every smartphone owner has internet access in their car, as long as they're near a cell tower. and people in rural areas with spotty reception can use satellite broadband for their homes. i know this isn't a 100% solution, but worrying about radio reception in 2010? come on.The Central Scrutinizer wrote:What if you're in your car? That'll get you everything on KTRS but the game. You have to pay MLB to listen to the Cardinals broadcast through their site or one of their mobile apps.Nerfdude wrote:they were talking about this on the Point. apparently they're switching to KMOX so that they have greater range, right?TimeForGuinness wrote:Cards are back on KMOX in 2011

Also, listening to the ballgame on AM radio doesn't require a large initial cost for the smartphone/computer or monthly charges.steve wrote:People who experience Cardinals baseball by tuning into AM radio almost certainly aren't going to be using computers or smart phones, assuming they even have them. I think some people forget that for a lot of older people, especially older people in more rural communities, there are no such things as "computers" and "smart phones." Not in their world. Others might tune in for the nostalgia of listening to a game on a radio. Or if you're just sitting on your patio, grilling, radio works really well. Believe it or not, but the antiquated technology of the radio is actually sometimes easier and more convenient than smart phones and computers. Plus, for all you environmentalists out there, a basic radio will use less electricity than a computer or smart phone. Yes, it's 2010, but not everything needs to be done over the internet.
They've been saying that for 10+ years now.innov8ion wrote:^ Just give it 5 years or so and we can revisit that statement.
