No new signs or renderings that I remember posted on the new fence. But, the new fence does surround the entire construction site for the tower, not just the hole left behinde by the dry cleaners whcih I think is promising.

well...it's more than has happened at Park Pacific. We were in the sales office a year ago last weekend & construction was "supposed to begin in March" then came June...then September...then December... now a year later nothing has been accomplished.
The Skyhouse views are better anyway. Check out their virtual tour of unit 1807. Awesome! They just need to add some table & chair sets to their pool deck plans. Sometimes lounge chairs just don't always suffice.
^The Park Pacific existing building is under construction. But this is the wrong thread for that.

I think it's like PE said. Kinda like needing a fence around your swimming pool. I doubt this means anything more than that.

Well the national housing market is soft, and winter is always slow locally. Remember, they are working away on the rehab portion of the project, I'd say that is more than what's been accomplished at Skyhouse.

Then they should have told us THAT, last January, not what they did. that's all I'm saying. I feel they weren't being honest, so what else will they be dishonest about, you know? I think being honest will never get you in trouble like lies, half-truths, exaggerations, deceitfulness, etc. will!
I think it is more a case of them being optimistic...In this case, it turns out overly optimistic.

Why dont someone go in there and ask them what the story is?

The construction loan market has changed and it seems that most banks are requiring either more capital (read cash) from the developers or more pre-sales, so you shouldn't assume that they weren't being honest when they said they would be under construction sooner. Condo construction start dates are generally based on sales projections, and an increased pre-sale requirement would extend the date.
As for Skyhouse, I'm sure they wish they were under construction as it usually helps sales!

Rumor has it that Skyhouse is dead. I hope this is not true.
Who is it from? Looking at the site, you could easily get that idea, but has the sales office been open? If the office is open, I doubt very much that SkyHouse is dead.
Wouldn't suprise me given the current state of the housing market
Maybe we'll get lucky and gain a surface lot out of the site if it is true that it's dead......

Okay, when you make a post like this... please elaborate on where your "rumor" comes from.
I hope this is not true. though there is some progress, we seem to have one large project dying after another

We do?

Same question I have.
The reason I believe the rumor is because they demolished a building for Skyhouse. In St. Louis it is our custom to demolish perfectly functional historic buildings for dead-end projects. Its what we do.
perfectly functional historic
Actually, that particular building was 0-3.
