It's good to hear that it is still at least being talked about.

Didn't 60 days pass us like 60 days ago?

McGowan has to know about this site, he's gotta throw us a bone.

I think you may overestimate the importance of this site.

Meh, I'm too lazy. That takes time and effort. I'd rather be arrogant and self absorbed.

Someone from M|W knows about this site, but I'm too lazy to look up the username. I think urbanstlouis may have some contacts there as well. That doesn't necessarily mean Kevin McGowan himself reads here though. But if you do, I'm looking for internships.

"Someone" may know about it. But trust me, Kevin doesn't.

 Good luck with that. I don't think you'd enjoy an internship there, and even if you had one, you'd probably stand a better chance of meeting Kevin on the street, or at some function.

Regarding this site. Kevin knows about it, but, as he readily admits, he would have enough trouble finding his own website on the internets.

^ that was the rumor when the website was revamped a couple months ago. Supposedly McGowan or Walsh denied it was anything they were working on. Obviously this seems fishy, since they've put it front and center on their website.

And they also built it in the middle of the river!

Is the 81 story M/W (McGowan Walsh) skyscraper still being considered to become part of the St. Louis Skyline. If so, are any new renderings available?? Would really appreciate a current picture. :?:

right now it's just a rumor. No renderings are available and no announcements have ever been made.

Kevin McGowan said there would be an announcment in about 60 days. He said that in May (IIRC). But he never said when the 60 days started!

Has anyone else noticed this on the MW Website?

Notice the new photo (to the left of the tower) of the skyline of STL. Do you notice the tower looks to be filling into the skyline just to the north (right) of the Metropolitan Square Tower.

This is a brand new image on the site.

What makes you think this building will be built in St. Louis?

Haven't you noticed that the skyline on the website is KANSAS CITY'S skyline? I bet the building in question is a KC building.

Kansas City has a Gateway Arch?

It's some of both. The 4 tower things to the left of the arch are definitely KC, part of the convention center, IIRC.

If you know your skylines:

STL's skyline is on the left side bottom

KC is on the right side top

Just last year, McGowan Walsh announced a loft revitalization in KC.

I just noticed they changed their website featuring both skylines now - I like the look... very Missouri unified.

BUT notice that in the STL's skyline, you can see the new tower placed just north of the Met. Tower. This is just an observation.

As for the tower in KC... haven't you been keeping up with this tower here? It has been rumored for STL (with Kevin McGowen even addressing it in STL on several occassions) for over a year now. I think that MW is just watching the market, timing, etc... They have a lot of projects on their hands right now.

I can't really tell by looking at the image. You may be reading into it too much. But just the fact that that building is still on the front page of the site has to mean something.

And that combined skyline is really cool.
