^ Not sure, but I don't think so. When I was looking for a condo/house this past year I was excited to see condos at 801 N. Skinker in the $200,000 range, only to find out that the condo fee is $1,200/mo. I guess it keeps their clientele exclusive - IMHO only people who can afford to throw away $$$$ can live there.

[edit]of course the Plaza floor plans range from 2,600 to 5,600 sq ft!!! [/edit]

The Park East is about 72 cents a sq. ft. per month if I'm not mistaken. This includes the real estate taxes portion, or real estate tax equivalent.

Can somebody pretend to be a potential buyer and take pictures of any of the apartments that are on sale and done. Tell them you need to take pictures for your spouse who is sick and couldn't come.

I drove down 40-E today and I noticed the tower looking nearly complete hovering over the trees of Forest Park. I have to say, it looks damn good.

I am in awe of how great this building looks and what a transformation of the market it is initiating in St. Louis.

I am ecstatic about their future building at Lindell and Euclid and the aldermen's dedication to this area and encouraging the density.

Thank you very much for the photos!

They look great, and I haven't seen the new pseudowindow decorations on the lower levels before now. The building looks nice, and I bet lit up at night will be spectacular.

Has anyone moved in? There have been some buyers close, and I think they're progressing upward. It would be very nice to see some photos of the finished interiors.

Good job on the photos! =D>

Thanks for the great pics. The building is really looking good. Does anyone have street level pics of the entrance, corner and Euclid side?

There are only a few lights on at night which are probably from a display unit or two.

The lobby looks finished...there were drapes in the windows and furniture inside. If I can get a picture of it I will.

It will definitely look great at night with lights on in the building.

I hate to nitpick, but something about the design of this building really bothers me. It looked great on paper, but it seems awkward, incomplete or something in real life. It's just not quite finished looking.

Maybe if the concrete sections were painted white, or, even better, covered with stainless steel.

it looks short, like that tapered section should have gone up about 3 more stories.

1. Thank you so much for the pictures. It's a shame it was such a cloudy day.

2. I think the building looks a lot better from the West & South. Of the three pictures where you can see the roof, I think the first two show how the building looks from the West & South. The third picture shows the building from a Northeast view.

I think the problem is that from the WEst & South you can see the interesting rounded glass dome and the tower, while from the NE all you see is a two story glass box penthouse with that bomb shelter on top.

Hopefully, there is still more to come so that the building will look super from all 4 sides.

And I think once everybody moves in, that could be some tower of light.

I think it's a great looking building. We need a spired building to complete the downtown skyline now.

I have a new satellite pic from Opus. Who wants to post it?

The building looks a lot like the final renderings. At least from the Southeast. The colors for the renderings are a little deeper perhaps, a darker shade of green and a darker shade of brown, whereas the pictures of the real thing look lighter.

There was another death at the Carlyle condo project that Opus is building in Minneapolis yesterday. I guess one of the iron workers fell when he was disassembling the tower crane. This is the 2nd death on this high rise project. Hopefully nobody got hurt at Park East.

According to Opus, 6-7 tenants have moved in.

Well, yes, I know it's not finished. But the overall look isn't going to change much from what we see now. I think my main problem is the color of the vertical concrete elements. Like I say, if they would have been covered with stainless steel, it would have been much nicer. And some of the proportions just don't work some how.

As has been mentioned, when the building is occupied, it should be quite dramatic at night. But that's not gonna help much with how it looks during the day.

Sorry, just my opinion.

Out of curiosity, do you think the proportions are off on all sides, or just the sides where you don't see the spiral?

And are there any other buildings in the area where they used stainless steel? I'd like to take a look next time I'm in the area.
