I'm not entirely certain what box you are talking about since I haven't seen any pictures lately. However, when I lived in STL I worked for the Architecture firm that did the plans and design for the top Penthouse unit in the building (incidently I now work for OPUS in Chicago). I'm not entirely sure if we're talking about the same box but I know for certain that the penthouse has a large hottub on the Terrace.

I think the top penthouse belongs to a married couple. I wonder if they would be interested in adopting me?

I wish I had a helicopter. The tub belongs to the lower penthouse owner. The top two floors belong to the married couple. I don't know who is underneath them but I sure would like to meet whoever it is abd become best friends.

The married couple have a hottub too. The large square blue tarp in the 7th and last pictures should be the hottub. At least thats where I drew it in on the plan and detailed the sections.

That vinyl siding looking stuff looks like crap from the street. It doesn't fit the building at all and really takes away from the overall design because of how large the box is.

Where is the vinyl siding? Do you mean the columns--wow, I have no idea how to describe anything. I am building-language challenged.

CRB - did you design many units or just the penthouse? What kind of stove did you put in? I bet a big one!

We were hired by the unit owners (the married couple) not the developer, and therefore only designed the penthouse. I don't want to go into too much detail about their unit due to privacy issues (especially someone associated with the IRS  ), but yes, it was a large one.

So a blue print is probably out of the question. Just to make you feel safer I don't work for the IRS. I work with people who don't like to give money to the IRS. :D

Not that there's anything wrong with giving money to the IRS. Somebody has to pay for everything.

Looks like someboday got a ride in the man basket. It's a little late now that the crane is too short to swing over the building, but i would have paid to have done that. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Holy cow...I think their tubs/whirlpool/jacuzzi are bigger than my condo. Great views from that area too. Very cool.

That is the good life! Terrace, view, hot tub, great neighborhood, Metrolink station. When I win the lottery, this is where you will find me.

vinyl siding? That wall/ fence that surrounds the HVAC sytems is made out of metal. I don't think it looks bad at all, actually it looks pretty modern to me.

I think this building looks absolutely incredible, and my only concern was the wall of cement covering the garage levels and that will be addressed -eventually- as trees grow in and cover this up; look to the trees to the east of the street to get an idea.

^ JCity, I agree completely. And most people won't be viewing the roof of the bldg up close and personal like we were able to do via those super pictures.

As for the base, I am really hopeful that the bldg will flow with its surroundings after the final touches are put in and the trees are given time to grow.

I'd really like to see some thought put into the street because I never liked the barren look surrounding the Park Plaza when I was living there. Besides two plants and some super model thin trees, all I remember is the concrete. I hope we won't feel that standing outside of this bldg.

The HVAC building on top of the building does look bad driving east on FP Parkway, but walking in the park yesterday it didn't look bad at all - and it doesn't look bad in the pics. Of course, we won't see it from the street at all.

I'd say the wall on Euclid is a big disappoinment. I hope they hand very large banners advertising local retail or whatever. It will fit in better with trees, but I agree with the previous post that a bank won't do as much to bring the corner alive as other retail would have.

does that spire serve any purpose... or is it purely asthetic?
