We just signed a deal to bring Pappy's Smokehouse to Midtown.. these guys were associated with Super Smokers and willl bring the same style to this new venture.

The restaurant will start the build out in 2 weeks and look to open in 60 days..

It will be loceted next to Santo-Bento and looks to capitalize on the growth of SLU and the new Arena ..

Mark, I have been waiting for this since you first mentioned it last winter!! Santo Bento is on Olive just east of Compton right? Into which building is Pappy moving? :hyper:

right next door to Santo Bento .. same building! just east of Compton on Olive is correct..



issues with Super Smokers are private and really have never been released .. seemed to be a partner problem of some sort ..

Mike Emerson one of the owners e-mailed the RFT to let all of St. Louis

know HIS SMOKER IS NOW BUILT ... and the hogs are a gettin nervous! :shock:

The sign has been up for Pappy's Smokehouse for a few weeks, and the original opening was for mid-October.

I think the new quesstimated opening will be closer to mid-November.

Attention ALL you BBQ lovers...



Pappy's Smokehouse just happened to be "testing the smoker" this week

and offered up some Chicken.. Pork Tenderloin..wow and the RIBS.. really AMAZING!



IT'S THE REAL DEAL .. Mike "Smokey" Emerson placed very high this past year at Memphis in May...the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF BBQ ...

and it shows in his product.



They are officially opening March 1st ..but i heard if you show up after next week they will be serving.. so drop in .. PAPPY'S will not disappoint !

I was told they will be serving from 11-7 or until the food runs out!



Starting this Monday ..it's a test run period to work out the details

on side dishes etc.. but he's serving and ur welcome to stop!!

Fast, friendly atmosphere, plenty of food for the price. No beer yet but owner said Pappy's to have license by March first.

I was there today and Mr Smokey Emerson said business has been better than he could have ever hoped for!

they have run out of food around 7p every day and today looks the same.. Pappy's has had a line out the door every lunch since they opened!
