The patina would really lend itself well to the overall organic design.
Looks like it’s at about the halfway point.
Just from the pictures posted on this thread, it looks amazing from every angle and vantage point. Once finished, it might quickly become the second most photographed structure in STL as you probably can’t take a bad picture of it, and that’s including light and weather.

There are 8 tiers. 6 tiers of four floors, 2 tiers of 5 floors. The halfway point, in height at least, won't be till they've started the 5th tier.
Not sure which rendering is current, but here are the renderings and current status photo. Still a long way to go!

This is going to be taller than I expected. I know it was going to be taller than the Chase and Park East but I think their “fat” design makes them appear shorter. This is a thin design so maybe that gives the illusion of it being taller than it actually is. I will also say that I think the tiers also give the illusion by the way they lean out.
Right is current. I do think the coloring is going to be a bit different than what we see here though. The glass they're putting up so far seems a bit darker.danke0 wrote: Not sure which rendering is current, but here are the renderings and current status photo. Still a long way to go!
Where did folks get the idea that this would be clad in stainless steel? Looking through the thread, I see a few mentions of stainless steel by posters, but haven't seen any comment anywhere on cladding material or color by the developer or starchitect.
BTW, I may have missed it, but I didn't see anyone post this before. Below is a video of the presentation given at Schlafly Library in 2016, with Eli Ungar and Jeanne Gang, that gives some history of Mac Properties and the progression of the design:

Thanks for posting that link. The representative from Studio Gang (not Ms. Gang herself, btw) said "articulated metal panels", but not the species. I'm just glad it's not fiber-cement or some crap.
Engineering News Record had a nice side bar/one-two paragraph article & photo on the One Hundred in its top 400 contractor issue with a quote from Bob Clark of Clayco noting the possibility within opportunity zones. No real details on Clark's comments on the $1 billion dollars in development and 250 or so projects they are looking at. Believe he has thrown those numbers around on a couple of articles now. However, the side bar on One Hundred was a nice thata boy insert for St. Louis.
This is either aluminum or steel. It has to be one of the two. And yes, this is One Hundred.

I noticed on my way home from work yesterday that this building is really becoming visible from westbound 40. And after spending Sunday in the CWE, I was really impressed with the size and scale of it so far. I cannot wait for it to top off!
^ I noticed that as well. I drove down to the Cardinal game on Sunday and it is really looking good. Much larger than I expected and it's barely even halfway done. It's really going to stand out.
Chris, any chance you have a few zoomed out shots of that material, would love to see it in a larger context.

I have some renderings but I am waiting on higher quality versions. The Mayor wrote: Chris, any chance you have a few zoomed out shots of that material, would love to see it in a larger context.
Nice! Finally!
(but I'm really anxious to see some images of it in context with the CWE - skyline shots etc.)

Well, this shot appears to be from The Chase, but we get the idea:

Those are absolutely stunning!chriss752 wrote: Renderings from https://www.liveat100.com. Coming Summer 2020.
That better not be vinyl plank flooring...
And I very desperately need a nighttime rendering.

Definitely will be real wood. This is the company they are using according to my source at Mac. Literally, Wide Plank Flooring.aprice wrote:That better not be vinyl plank flooring...

Very good to see. So this entire project is the real deal. I was afraid that this was going to the same VE treatment the rest of this city seems to get. These apartments are going to be... expensive.chriss752 wrote:

Based on the fact that The Residences at The Chase, along with many other CWE buildings, seem to get away with murder on their rents, these rents will be more jaw dropping than the initial rendering release.
I expect a two bedroom unit on the 36th floor facing forest park to go for over $8500 per month.

If I had $102,000+ to spend annually on my living situation, I'd be up there.
HOT DAMN! And thanks Chris!
This thing is going to win awards. What an absolute work of art for St. Louis. So exciting...Cordish could take a lesson for future BPV phases haha.

Thanks for posting the additional renderings. Those are fantastic. Love the look of ^. Surprised they are getting this building done for the budget. Everything looks extremely high end. Well done so far!
