3201 Locust has finally been put up for sale by Washington Tabernacle. They are hurting for money to fix their building so they are finally giving up on the demolition by neglect on the important structure.
3201 Locust is under contract

Well that is fantastic news. I was getting a little discouraged after it sat so long on the market.

It's double good news because now Washington Tabernacle should have some money to fix their roof and do some other desperately needed structural upkeep on their building.

What's the deal with this? 3040 Washington Avenue. Small building was demo'd for this... but it looks to have stopped construction at this point.

On the 10/28/26 Board of Adjustment docket (from this week's City Journal):

APPEAL #20668 – Appeal filed by Tate Annex, LLC, from the determination of the Building Commissioner in the denial of a building permit, authorizing the Petitioner to do an Addendum to permit #576399, to construct multifamily residential units, per plans, at 3040 Washington Blvd. WARD 11. #AB-6847-26 ZONE: “H” – Area Commercial District
Not sure what the addendum is about.

Also I don't remember seeing this rendering (source: leasing brochure) before but maybe I didn't scroll far enough back on this thread?

Hopefully the new zoup will stop these type of senseless denials from happening and we'll see a wave of infill in areas like this.
