You dont have to tell Daphnie you got the number from anyone. She is well aware of the sleazy clubs and has mentioned Club Europe to me in previous conversations. Just call her and tell her about the incident.the number

Another number that may be helpful. This is Tony T from Club Lure's personal cell phone number, he was at the Washington Post the other night meeting with several concern neighbors and gave his number and said to call him anytime they were concerned. This is the second time I have posted his number - the first was back in December of 2007 when he called his club Lucky's and shots rang out 3 night in December 2007 ( three weekend in a row, great city living
)so please remind him this is not a new story. Tony's number is 314-757-7566.

You know what? I'm very, very happy to see this posting, because it truly differentiates the management of the local nightclubs. This posting shows active involvement and addressing of an issue, as well as being a club where there are and I assume have been employed off-duty police for some time. This is proactive, rather transparent, and openly engaging in a collaborative manner (while doing the requisite CYA, which I can respect). In contrast to other (obvious) local management, I am quite happy with this active approach.Jasmin Redzic wrote:No You can call officer Daphne Allen ( Nuisance/Problem Property Officer ) and her phone number is 314-444-2563 and tell her you got the number from Jasmin Redzic owner of Club Europe. Before you do that maybe you should talk to Police officers who are standing in front of the club who are actually working for Club Europe through Hi Tech Security Co.
Jasmin, thanks for the recommendations, as well as Downtown2007 for his earlier posting. I'm pretty sure that people are aware of this who need to be. Plus, I'm not looking to throw gas on a fire that's already putting up plenty of smoke. I'd just hope that the fools who did this are caught and are not seen again.
My hope is that, with open and mutual engagement, we can all live happily amongst each other, as residents, business owners, and visitors to the area, and mostly in an environment that is safe and keeps the relative peace. Working together, I'm sure we can get a lot more done than positioning against each other.
Loftman,
If the club thing doesn't work out for you I think you have one hell of an opportunity in business consulting. How big were those posters calling your neighbors racists 6'x10'?

There are rumors that the reason HOME nightclub at the Ameristar casino in St. Charles closed suddenly was due to a hip-hop night this last Friday that degenerated into multiple fights that spilled out into the public areas and gaming floor.
Once again, this is second hand from people I know that work at the casino but weren't on that night.

http://www.fox2now.com/news/ktvi-home-n ... 4351.storyDespite suggestions from some now former employees that increasing fights on Friday Hip-Hop nights were the reason for the sudden shutdown, the real reason, say bosses, is economics.
Maybe it was a sh*tty location? Who wants to get all dressed up for St. Charles? This would have been fine at Lumiere.
I assume your response was sarcastic in nature.JCity wrote:The Tripianos family doesn't have a track history at all. Club Dolce at St. Louis Place didn't have any problems other than fights and someone driving by and shooting up the exterior of the building...

Shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, residents of a North Broadway high-rise awoke to the kind of clatter one might associate with television cop dramas: A paddy wagon, a pair of canines and almost a dozen police officers were parked outside. A helicopter hovered in the air, its searchlights shining down.
Several dozen people were throwing punches inside the adjacent Dolce' Ultra Lounge & Bistro. Numerous calls to police went out. The fight spilled onto the street. When it finally ended, one man was arrested for disturbing the peace, and a club manager was hauled away for failing to post a liquor license.
But almost immediately, Brown recalls, the condo became unlivable come weekends. Residents complained of limos and cars triple-parked on Olive Street, blocking the entrance to the Marquette's parking garage. There were also complaints of ear-splitting music and rowdy patrons pouring out of the club after 2 a.m., yelling and throwing glass bottles on the sidewalk.
"I remember the very first weekend I spent here, I woke up to a bloodcurdling scream," recalls Linda Kasparek, a local management consultant. "I jumped out of bed immediately because I thought somebody was being attacked."
At her constituents' request, last summer Alderwoman Phyllis Young convinced Dolce's operators to move the valet stand off of Olive Street to alleviate late-night noise. But condo owners continued to call police with complaints. Then, in the wee hours of March 16 of this year, Marquette residents awoke to the rat-a-tat sound of an automatic handgun shooting at the St. Louis Place building.
"That was scary," says board member Denton. "Noise is one thing, but bullets flying? I think the place has gotten out of control."

The new date for the hearing is now Sept 3rd. Why was it pushed back a week? Some people have asked off work for this Fri and Sept 3rd is right before a long weekend. What

The hearing on the 3rd is for the City’s Citation process, not the protest process that is based on the signatures. The protest hearing has not yet been set, and the citation hearing will likely be continued to occur on the same day as the protest hearing, later in September.

Not the fight, but I saw the club crowd beforehand. Moreso, I saw how the StLPD had patrol cars on Wash along Tucker & 14th blocking the street to traffic around midnight, as well as patrol cars on adjacent streets. Much of the cross-street traffic moved to St. Charles and Lucas. The Lure crowd was big, and the line stretched down the block. There were about half a dozen StL cops working near the door. Just walking down the street, I ran into & talked with managers of two restaurants along Wash Ave, and neither of them were that happy with how the street was blocked off to accomodate the police deemed necessary for Lure. Just as much, they both want Lure to go away now. Overall, a very tense vibe.

They'll probably propose solving this via another "neighborhood dialog".innov8ion wrote:Jack Thompson Square condo damage in its private lobby courtesy of Club Lure patrons last night:Gone Corporate wrote:

The Kwame Building Group has access and an irresponsible member of the family has a habit of allowing Lure patrons in and out of the club via the private entrance. No matter how they get in, it's Lure patrons that continue to damage the condo's property.TheRemedy wrote:^How do they keep getting into the private lobby, isn't it locked? So the whole street was closed due to one business? Shows how out of control this place is.
When is the hearing on their license going to be established? Why keep them open?

Lure should stay open because otherwise we'll be blasted as racists by the Italians running Lure. It's the Trupianos' bankroll and feelings that we should be considering here -- our safety and investments are of little concern. Got it?Downtown2007 wrote:So the whole street was closed due to one business? Shows how out of control this place is.
