Scary: I walked home tonight down Washington from the Tin Can. Heading east down Washington almost to 15th Street, I heard at least five to eight shots, with what sounded like automatic fire, ring out from the immediate direction of Club Europe. A car driving down 15th to Washington from the club heard the shots, stopped, and had its passengers jump out looking, with one guy calling to a friend of his that was still up by the club to get in the car. Clearly, I was not the only one to hear this. People were freaking out and dashing to their cars immediately. Another grouping of five or more immediate shots rang out, further out, I'd assume along Delmar heading west. Police were called right afterwards as I strolled towards Nara, with the owner looking out on the sidewalk most concerned. The rest of Wash Ave seemed to have headed home relatively early tonight as I walked east. Marked police cars were along the corners last I looked, five minutes after, although the gunmen were all but certainly far away by then. Yikes, should've shut down the Tin Can instead.

In addition just because a nightclub serves a primarily minority clientelle it doesn't give the owners the right to ignore common courtesy and flaunt local liquor laws. I get the feeling that Doug thinks that Lure should be able to operate different than other businesses simply because most of the customers are African-American.

No You can call officer Daphne Allen ( Nuisance/Problem Property Officer ) and her phone number is 314-444-2563 and tell her you got the number from Jasmin Redzic owner of Club Europe. Before you do that maybe you should talk to Police officers who are standing in front of the club who are actually working for Club Europe through Hi Tech Security Co.
