I ate at the Hardee's/Red Burrito downtown and got a burrito meal off the Red Burrito menu. I loved it and I was really impressed, personally, especially for fast food. Everytime I plan to get Red Burrito downtown now I pass it up because there is always a line to the door.

...Though maybe I should go sometime other than lunchtime.

anyway I saw the same type of signage on the old Wendy's in north county on Lindbergh blvd in the florrisant/ferguson area..

although they havent announced this one It looks like rehab is in full swing..

FROSTYS for lunch YEA!!!! :hyper:

I wonder what's going to happen in spots like downtown and midtown where another fast food chain has replaced the Wendy's?

Then again Wendy's could take over some of the Burger Kings that closed. The Soulard, S. Grand and Jefferson BK's closed because the franchisee went under after the main accountant skimmed off a couple hundred thousand and left the country.

Does that mean Wendys is making a comeback? :D

I hope so, before they closed all the restaurants here, I didn't eat there as much as I did with McDonalds, Jack in the Box, or Burger King. I even did a research paper about McDonalds vs. Wendys and predicted that Wendys would have to try hard to win over customers along with fierce competition. Competition that is ever changing its menus and coming out with new items/healthier eating. But anyways, after they closed I went to other states and had their food and was impressed. I seem to like it more than McDonalds now. Its nice to see them comeback to STL! :)

In my opinion Jack in the Box is the best fast food place on the planet. Not only is their food the best, imo, but they have the best dollar menu. I can buy 6 delicious, amazing, heart attack provoking, glorious, deep fried tacos for 3 dollars!

Wendy's may be sold, but they're not going away. The name and reputation are too valuable. Some investment company will buy them and have someone manage it.

^ I hope so. Their chicken nuggets, fries, and frosty's are way too good.

Haven't seen this Hardees but since Hardees is headquartered downtown, don't you think a supercool flagship store should be in order. Something big and splashy? (-Like Virgin Records store in Picadilly.)

I read somewhere that Arby's made a bid for Wendy's this week.

The guy that owns Arby's has wanted to buy Wendy's for several weeks at least, but he was being blocked by the majority owner of Wendy's.
