^You can see the bulge in Google Streetview from two years ago. You can see that the mortar is a different color in the area, making me wonder if some work was done that was either an attempt to fix the problem, or possibly even a contributor to it.

Lmao in the KSDK video she says “I always joked around about my building being a bit sus" and in the article they editorialize it to “I always joked around about my building being a bit sketch.”
She says "I always joked that my building is a bit sus, like a bit, like sketchy."
This afternoon saw scaffolding and a crew in hard hats working on the building.

Looks like water infiltration into the wall from the roof or parapet, then over time the saturated mortar disintegrates/erodes from the moisture itself and many cycles of freezing and thawing. Gravity does the rest.symphonicpoet wrote: ↑May 23, 2021^Yowza! I wonder what triggered that.
Walked by it yesterday, the foundation is poured but no one was on site working. Hard to reconcile what they poured vs the renderings though, if the basement windows in the rendering match the foundation, the building will be sitting 4 ft above its neighbors and look very odd.ikazy1 wrote:Land clearance (i.e. tree removal) for the new construction of a 4 unit condominium building at 4341 Westminster has begun. Does look that way. Hopefully the casting, brickwork and landscaping will bring it all together. There are others on the Fullerton blocks (4300-4400) of Westminster with somewhat similar elevations. The new construction single family home in the 4400 block of Westminster doesn't have a basement at all nor much of an elevation to the door, but turned out ok as set next to other homes with porch elevations, etc.tztag wrote: ↑Jun 08, 2021Walked by it yesterday, the foundation is poured but no one was on site working. What happened here? Was there a fire that led to the demo of the old building?

Whatever happened to it, I believe it's been gone for a few years now. I started walking around the neighborhood in 2017 when I worked in Cortex and only remember the foundation. I think someone turned it into a garden.

^ Street View shows an empty lot since at least 2007.
4308 Laclede? It looks like it was there in 2011. And then in Sept. 2014 the roof was missing and part of the back had been ripped off. So may have came down not long after that.urban_dilettante wrote: ↑Jul 17, 2021^ Street View shows an empty lot since at least 2007.

Why highlight TGP when you’re 5 blocks off Forest Park? No disrespect to TGP, but even just from a marketing perspective…
