Brick is already being added to the exterior.
An update from driving south on Hanley Rd. Around the corner, the site is built up from Hanley to Westwood but I couldn’t grab a pic.
I'm very glad that they're not using the same awful orange brick as the neighboring high rises.
^Thanks for the photos.
Impact indeed; all the renderings focused so much on the corner high-rise, I didn't realize the low-rise portion extended that far down Clayton, and with no setback!

It is going to be much closer to clayton road than the renderings suggest.
Ha - I just saw this. I lived on the first floor unit below you my first year of law school.sc4mayor wrote: ↑Apr 19, 2020Haha, no worries. I actually have a better view of the Clarendale action from the kitchen. Surprised I didn't notice earlier...granted I spend more time looking out the front...symphonicpoet wrote: ↑Apr 19, 2020^I love it when folks show me where they live!
And yes, that is a very nice view of the action.
Mind you, I've posted shots from my house too, but the landmarks and rooflines visible from my little piece of paradise are more generic. Maybe I'll have to shoot a few photos before the leaves really come in while maybe you can see just a hair further. (Part of the problem is I'm a little lower down and more surrounded by trees. They pretty well block line of sight to anything more interesting than my neighbor's yards most of the year.)
Anyway, sorry to tease. Please forgive my bad habit of turning every photo into a "where am I."

Great drone work Chris. You've outdone yourself on this one
Driving past it, the height is pretty impressive. Definitely a game changer for that intersection.
It's been super seeing this density come to fruition on the corner. My only wish is that the ground floor would have included more commercial space than was included, to extend the village-style commercial corridor across Hanley.NateM___ wrote: ↑Jan 07, 2021The Clarendale has topped out. The final two floor frames are up.

Either way, the commercial corridor was going to dead end with Clarendale... so I don't really have a problem with it not having ground level retail.
I don't have a solid read for the residents there around Clayton Ave., but I would think that that entire corridor is ripe for major redevelopment if the NIMBY population is under control.

Hi-di-ho neighborino!

They're taking down the tower crane this morning! I just missed capturing the main arm coming down. 🏗
