Great to see another crane up. Looks like the one that was recently taken down at the SoHo in Soulard.

Expect another to go up at the McKenzie at 170 and Delmar soon.

^I'm truly losing track of the numbers as cranes come down and new ones go up so quickly lately. And I figure that's honestly a good thing. Where does that leave us right now? Fourteen? (I'm counting three in Clayton, eight at Barnes, two in Midtown, and one downtown. I think.)

^Fair enough. So, fifteen then? Will be interesting to see if anything goes up before the next crane comes down. Not sure what else is close right now.

4.12.23 update: Framing for windows and interior unit walls has begun. They appear to be studios/1 bed's.

And this poor thing, stripped of it's dignity, soon to be shod in the latest (temporarily) trendy mask.

Even though I'm not around often anymore, it makes me happy to see Shanley still standing, and being improved, after previously been set for demolition for a horrendous high-rise.

Bemiston Place topped out this week. Also, painting of lower exterior walls and the exposed stairwell with a black tone has begun.

Looks like exterior work is finished, and (most of) the sidewalks are open. This place really turned out well.

I’m curious how the retail bays will do with leasing.

^Okay, I have to give them points for working around the Shanley building. (And good on you Chris  for helping convince them to do it.) And that entryway looks pretty nice, actually.

This building looks great. Much better than Ceylon

PostJan 13, 2025#300

Didn’t realize the Ceylon has been such a flop. 80% occupancy for a 5 over 2 in year 6? Yikes.

Hopefully this project does better but I’m doubtful Clayton has the demand to support this project or the one on Central.
