^I would love to see something like that in Lemp. There's also still plenty of space on the old Queeny Plant and Nooter sites, though less than there was ten years ago. Also potentially good space north of downtown. The old Cotton Belt freight depot is more building than they strictly need, but if someone restored it and divided it up it might be a good spot.

They currently have 35 employees based in St. Louis, and with this expansion are looking to hire up to 15 more. So the majority of the space their looking for is probably more on the warehouse side of things than it is office - especially if their needs are going to be more focused on servers, integration and testing, and then some logistics for shipping products. Places like the Soulard Business Park, North Riverfront Business Park, or even one of the new logistics parks in the county like the Fenton Logistics Park, Aviator Business Park, Hazelwood Tradeport, etc. I think this discussion should shift more to the Technology thread rather than be in BPV.

Went to the game last night and noticed the office building garage mural is peeling pretty badly. Looks terrible.

I noticed that same thing opening day. Looks trashy.billikens_19 wrote: ↑Apr 29, 2022

Saw that when I was in town last week. Good opportunity to showcase some local artistry.
With baseball season in full swing, Cards doing well (even though I would have enjoyed a series win over Giants instead of settling for a split) and crowds back does anyone have a thought, or speculation, maybe an inside tip on when DeWitt/Cordish might float Two Cardinal Way renderings?
Getting 2CW out there, keeping things going forward on Koplar's CWE tower and Clayton's World News tower would be a nice pickup for the central corridor if a couple of these projects are breaking ground by end of year

My personal (unsubstantiated) theory was that the Cardinals would not move forward on these buildings or release anything publicly during a league lockout.
Now that the lockout has been lifted, I hope that the DeWitts are working hard to make this happen, though I can't say I know anything you don't.

I think that phase 3 will come in stages I.e 3a, 3b etc as opposed to a full swoop like phase 2.
Here's leaked images from 2016 again. I suspect 2CW will have some resemblance to this.

No idea BPV seemingly attracts 6m visitors per annum. All the more promising given 2023 snd beyond should bring two more sports teams and additional development of the site.

Kind of surprised the DeWitt's didn't put a Dewey's Pizza in the complex.
I thought the same thing but love this none the less.dweebe wrote: ↑May 23, 2022Kind of surprised the DeWitt's didn't put a Dewey's Pizza in the complex.
Been some chatter on reddit lately about people getting ruffied at BPV, hopefully they are taking these incidents seriously and have their people on the lookout for both perpetrators and victims.
I worked at Westport in the 90s when we had a ruffie problem to the point we'd have friends from other bars come in to watch out. They caught him at Talanyas and it was not a pretty sight.Ebsy wrote: ↑May 25, 2022Been some chatter on reddit lately about people getting ruffied at BPV, hopefully they are taking these incidents seriously and have their people on the lookout for both perpetrators and victims.
Looks like this is going in the Live by Loews building on the ground floor where the Davio's Steakhouse was supposed to be (patio facing the Together Credit Union Plaza, downstairs from The Bullock). I assume this means Davio's is no longer happening, but I actually kind of prefer that they're going with a local concept instead.dbehrens011 wrote: ↑May 23, 2022StlMag - Katie’s Pizza & Pasta expands to Ballpark Village

Yeah, it will be right next to the 'STL' Cardinals logo near the old Busch II infield.
I'm all for local places opening downtown, especially super successful and popular County restaurants that the city doesn't have.
I'd love to see Balkan Treat Box open a city location near either Busch Stadium or Centene Stadium. Centene probably makes more sense, but I'll take whatever I can get.

It'd be great if we could see something like that happen, but I wonder what kind of relationship the Cardinals and Gioia's have after the stadium stand fiasco.
^ Is my memory correct on this, that Gioia's was going to run a location at Busch but the stadium insisted upon staffing with their contracted workers and, after a test run, the results were less than acceptable so Gioia's pulled the plug?
They had it in there for a few games and pulled it after a week or two of Delaware North not being able to handle it on their own.pdm_ad wrote: ↑May 27, 2022^ Is my memory correct on this, that Gioia's was going to run a location at Busch but the stadium insisted upon staffing with their contracted workers and, after a test run, the results were less than acceptable so Gioia's pulled the plug?
Rather than continuing to plug businesses in guaranteed foot traffic areas I'd rather see retail subsidized along Olive, Locust, Pine. A spot like Katie's would be a guaranteed foot traffic inducer.
I'm still bitter about the DT Gioia's.

How about encouraging some businesses open outside of Ballpark Village? Like OPOP or Wash Ave?
