Getting close. I thought I remember someone saying here that the angle of what is Wolfpaw's second pic would have the tower lining up about with the top of the Arch or somewhere around there. It's really going to stand out.STLCityMike wrote: It is certainly going to stand out in the skyline. Are we about 2/3 of the way up?
There are 11 more floors (10 if you count the partially decked 19th floor) to go plus the slanted roof (+30FT), so about 140FT to go. In this case, they are skipping the 13th floor.
I doubt they're skipping the 13th floor. Fire Marshals usually don't allow this any more... unless you're in Vancouver.
Their website shows that they are. I am currently not home so I can’t pull up the desktop version.aprice wrote:I doubt they're skipping the 13th floor. Fire Marshals usually don't allow this any more... unless you're in Vancouver.

Ballpark Village as of this evening! OCW is up to 18 floors which means there's 11 more to go. I hope everyone was able to catch tonight's sunset, it was breathtaking.

^ Wow OCW is really starting to making an appearance in the skyline. Those are some nice photos Wolfpaw

Thank you I was so taken away by how amazing the sunset had become.Elek.borrelli wrote:^ Wow OCW is really starting to making an appearance in the skyline. Those are some nice photos Wolfpaw

^&^ Fantastic pictures from both of you! I think the glass on both buildings is looking pretty sharp.

Unpopular opinion, but I really like the look of the PWC Pennant building. The corners are very crisp and modern, and I like the way the glass reflects the sky. I wish there was a better office to garage ratio, but what can you doThe Mayor wrote: ^&^ Fantastic pictures from both of you! I think the glass on both buildings is looking pretty sharp.

Looking forward to seeing some glass come up on the retail building.
My two cents, It will come out great if BPV can stair step a taller slender office taller behind it and next to Cardinal two way Otherwise, I think they missed out on a chance to add a few more speculative floors and a building that would have even looked better.Elek.borrelli wrote:Unpopular opinion, but I really like the look of the PWC Pennant building. Let's hope that's the plan for for all three lots on that entire strip... All of those buildings could visually stair-step up from the front portions...
I think One Cardinal Way is coming out as a much more attractive development than Light One in Kansas City. The overall BPVII development appears to be a lot less cheesy for some reason.
I’m not a big skyline enthusiast, but it does seem that OCW’s impact is all the more important since it wouldn’t be surprising for that circular Millenium Hotel Tower to come down in the next decade.

Almost feel like P&L was kinda like a dry run for Cordish for this kind of development.goat314 wrote: I think One Cardinal Way is coming out as a much more attractive development than Light One in Kansas City. The overall BPVII development appears to be a lot less cheesy for some reason.
^ It'll be a sad, sad day if that does happen.
Yes, and this time around they are using lubrication.Trololzilla wrote:

Time for a project update. All these photos were taken today...
The PwC Pennant Building...
The parking garage screen continues to go up. Ground floor/lobby glass has been installed. Precast brick has started to be installed on the Southern facade. The brick will match the Cupples Buildings and Busch Stadium in terms of color.

The red brick with the line of gray brick at the bottom is starting to make the building stand out more then the gray block, once everything is completed it will be a nice looking building.
One Cardinal Way from Chouteau's Landing (Cedar Street) and a view from 4th Street.
View from Cedar Street. Looking good and will be slightly shorter than Pointe 400 from this location.
4th Street would benefit greatly from some infill and infrastructure improvements.

^I didn't have a chance to snag any pictures, but I drove past that today. It really looks fantastic in person. Even the garage silliness looks better when you see it in the flesh. Which isn't to say that part looks good, but it looks much bigger than I had remembered, so it makes a better impression. It lends mass, which is important there right now. I think it's all going to be pretty sweet when done.
