^ Interesting idea but seems that the feasibility of physically moving Peabody tower would not make it a wise move nor is the tower worth saving IMO if your goal is to open up the Gateway Mall.   I think you would just be better off giving incentives for a new BPV tower or Mike Shannon site and cover the cost of imploding and removing the current Peabody tower.  Heck, you could probably raise funds for purchase and demo via Gateway foundation or how a chunk of Arch Grounds was funded but that seems like impractical use of any funds raised when their is plenty work you could accomplished on the current mall.

But have to be careful with suggestions, you might give City Leadership the thought of building a squat parking garage in its place in order to lure an anchor tenant for nearby ATT building

It's the HQ of one of the largest coal companies in the world.  I'm sure Greenpeace would cover the demo...

Well none of these are plans, just random suggestions on a forum.

^^^ I'm not an engineer but I doubt very much it would be feasible, especially from a cost perspective, to move the Gateway One building.  I'd rather just see it demolished once and for all.  With Citygarden, Kiener, and the new Luther Square/Lid, the Mall between the Arch and Tucker is actually starting to resemble a pretty fantastic public space.  I don't care much for the Mall west of Tucker though.

Regardless, we're getting off topic here.  Let's swing it back to BPV.

One last comment before getting back to BPV.

I don't really care for the Gateway Mall, either. I wish that the buildings surrounding the Mall interacted with it and formed some kind of street-wall. As it is, the drives down Market and Chestnut seem way too spacious. Instead of the Mall making Market seem more grandiose and special, the Mall seems to make it worse.

And I'm not down with the demolition of any buildings downtown until we've seen considerable construction - or unless the demolition leads to construction (see: 300).

To steer us back on topic, here is Ballpark Village as seen from the arch. It takes up a sizeable gap in the skyline already and OCW still has another 1/3 to go before being topped off.

Looking good, I really like the glazing one all of the buildings too.

Apparently Fox Sports Midwest was picked up as a tenant of the office building. They’ll occupy 15,000SF.

Here are some progress photos from yesterday.

So the shells on the west block are about done... I would think we would have to be close to a tenant announcement

I would like to be optimistic and say yes. 59,000SF of office space remains.

Maybe later in August, we will hear more about tenants. If any new ones are announced, they won't be moving in when the building opens in early September.

Went to the game today. Got some photos from the Budweiser Terrace deck. Really adds to the skyline from the upper rows.

15,000 sq ft? They are only an "anchor" tenant in that the Dewitt's (now with a third ownership in FSMW) own them as well as the building lol.

Guess it's good that the building is filling up, but they were plastered over renderings of a second office tower.

That second office building was nothing more than a concept that was scrapped in favor of One Cardinal Way. I would think that Fox SPorts midwest would want more space but haven't they been downsizing recently? Maybe that's why they don't need a lot of space.

The renderings showed a light gray or white facade.  I liked the gray-white facade.  It contrasted nicely with all the red brick and black steel.

So they painted it baby puke beige instead.  So much why...

I guess the budget was too much for that. Loews decided the colors for this one since the money being spent on the hotel is partially theirs. However, with the precast concrete being chipped in parts, I am wondering if they plan to do any further facade work to clean it up and make it look nicer.

Anyway, brick precast is starting on the Cardinal Way side of the PwC Pennant Building. The “St. Louis” parking screen still needs to be installed.

You will most likely be able to walk down this 7th Street pedestrian way this September. Directional signs will also be unveiled around that time. Still lots of work to do to improve the driving and walking experience.

Where did you see that Dewitt owns 1/3 of Fox Sports Midwest? As I understand it, the network is still owned by the Walt Disney Company, pending the completion of the DOJ-mandated sale of all 20+ regional Fox Sports Networks to Sinclair Broadcast Group (excluding YES Network, which is being acquired by the New York Yankees). I couldn't find any information anywhere indicating that DeWitt or the St. Louis Cardinals would have any ownership stake in FSM.

The Cardinals are currently in the second year of a 15-year contract with FSM signed in 2015 that will pay them $1 billion over that span for exclusive TV broadcast rights.

Interesting, did not know that. I assume having only a minority stake gave them pretty much no say in the larger Fox Sports Networks deal between Disney and Sinclair.

I'm pretty sure that they will be putting white tilling or painting white on the facade. Why would you have white window frames next to beige or even the bottom pillars? Renderings show a pretty clear white distinction. Idk maybe I'm wrong, I hope I'm not.

The white window frames will be black before long. I don’t think they’ll do any more facade work behind what we see already. Of course they have some other things to complete, but I don’t think they’ll spend money on adding brick or paint.

I thought that those precast panels had been painted after they were all in place.  But after looking through chris's old progress photos from May, it seems they arrived on site that exciting shade of beige.  The most recent rendering is at the bottom.  It's possible it was just a bad rendering job that made the panels look gray in the first place.

The Twitter post makes it sound like it is an event. Not an announcement for a restaurant. A breakfast place doesn’t make sense to me anyway. You want to be open all day (and night with a liquor license). Breakfast places are too sleepy.
