I would love to see the McGowan Walsh Tower to finally get built in the southeast corner. Just add in some groud level retail, perhaps this would be an ideal location for a Walgreens or CVS.

I think McKee is working on it as well -- probably more so than Cordish/Cardinals. My preference for a new office tower would be 22nd St. interchange at the terminus of Gateway Mall.jstriebel wrote:I actually think we should embrace the Cardinals desire to build office buildings on the site. Ultimately we need office towers for downtown to fully comeback.
I don't know of any other developer making it a priority to build new office towers and secure major tenants.
Hmmm, why is that Streetsblog image (apparently submitted to them by Alex Ihnen) so familiar....roger wyoming II wrote:Its Parking Madness! Up today is Carpark Village versus Kansas City
I'm not sure what would constitute being "busy," but I do think that the area should do pretty well during the peak season. It will draw more of a sports bar clientele and of course the PBR will be a new draw. During the day, there will be a decent family draw as people check out the Hall of Fame and gift shop and get some fuel. And the concerts, etc. will draw some as well. So I think it will do pretty well overall at least during peak season but I wouldn't be surprised if some of these businesses are only open seasonally... e.g, I think I read that the PBR isn't open winters at its Louisville Cordish district.matguy70 wrote: Also, I just cannot imagine this village being busy anytime outside of game days. The CBD is served well with lots of restaurants etc... So, am I missing something?
Ballpark Village is hosting the biggest fan appreciation party in the city. With Blues personalities before and after the game, contests and giveaways-including two Blues autographed jerseys, and great food and drink specials all night long. Present your game day ticket and receive a $5 voucher good in FOX Sports Midwest Live!. Have ticket, there will be shuttles running to and from the game start at 6pm and until 1 hour after the game ends.
Is this comparable to their other developments? What's the story at Power & Light?downtown2007 wrote:5 dollar cover charge per venue and 10 for entire site after 9pm per a tweet from biz journal.
