Counterpoint. It’s not my first rodeo with 909. We’ve seen buy it, sell it, buy it, sell it…

At this point, the only thing I see different is how much you’re willing to advocate for this developer. That means something… but it’s starting to be counteracted by market realities.

Asked for comment, Charles Goldman the managing partner of the Goldman group who purchased the AT&T Tower said the project is on hold and downtown is at risk. Could the building wind up back on the market? Goldman says they are selling.

slight correction.  the project continues.
I’d wondered if that was a typo when I read it. Didn’t really make sense with the rest of the paragraph. Apparently they fixed it.

I don't understand why the city isn't offering Rams money to help pay for it. Seems like the exact type of "downtown investment" that Spencer says she wants the money to be used for.

Kehoe said that a "scaled down" version of the bill would have been "more palatable" for lawmakers. I genuinely hate these people. Zero people testified against the bill. No one. Both Democrats and Republicans testified in favor along with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. These ***** axe the capital gains tax, cutting over $300M in revenue every year, but a $50M/project tax credit isn't "pallatable" enough for them.
As I thought I understood it, it was based on negotiations over changing what we all voted for on minimum wage and sick leave between Dems and Reps to get it back on a ballot to vote on it AGAIN.  It's gross and ***** up.

That's what they said, which on its face is horrible and totally unbecoming of an elected representatives in a supposedly democratic republic, such as Missouri. But it seems like that wasn't even true as they chose not to even put it up for a vote. They're pretty much mask off "we hate you and want you to die."

Some workers are assembling plywood panels, asked what they were for and they said “We’re building a wall around the building”…

I wonder, when this building was constructed with the inset sidewalks, if it was precluded on the requirement that the sidewalks remain accessible to the public?

With the newly constructed walls, the sidewalks around the perimeter of the building along 9th and 10th are now completely blocked off. Yes, you can cross to the opposite side of the street, so it's not the end of the world, but it's annoying nonetheless.

Also, they blocked the "no parking" signs and yellow curb, so I guess you can park here now lol.

What a joke. I wonder if they even applied for a blocking permit to start with? Or a building permit for a fence/wall? If so, I want to know how it was approved. I'm not going to argue there may be a need for security, but there are better ways than this. Taggers are going to love it.

Yep
I basically wrote that in an earlier comment above in this thread and a member had at me for posting such a negative comment
I modified my comment  and the 'proper police' on here took down his/her charge against me
More to the issue What is that wall of black for? Was 900 Chestnut being sieged with unauthorized entries comparable or worse than what was/is going on at the Railway budding?
Black? Really? How about stenciling the grim reaper all on the black around the entire building?
Ooop I know I have to be careful with that fatalistic comment
"Im sorry officer it was dark out that wall was black I dont know I just ran into it"

The fence is what it is and doesn’t really bother me. My issue is blocking a sidewalk. Unless they are going to be working on the sidewalk which I doubt they are, there had to be a better way to fence it off. If it’s short term then not a huge deal but if it’s like this 6 months from now and no work is going on I think it’s a bad look

The building has an ominous beauty that I love. Wouldn’t want a DT covered in these (sorry SF) but one or two is cool.

Shiny gadgets make me skeptical. I've never seen anything like this and they say they have no experience with it?

"The redeveloped AT&T Tower would also use automated parking technology to move cars from the basement up to one of 10 floors of parking planned for the building, the first Goldman Group project to feature it."
