Game changer for the loop. Come on WashU, give us a few more.

Delmar Loop could be a premier urban commercial strip at an even higher level than its peak. We can stretch this thing from Big Bend to Euclid with the right choices in the next 10 years.

I’m bullish on Delmar

Not visible in that pic, but below-grade concrete work is moving quickly now.

This thing is a lot bigger than people realize; it's really gonna change the whole feel of that stretch of The Loop.

First floor walls are going up along Delmar, and the garage structure is above street level. Moving fast!

Tower crane's going up.

PostMay 06, 2025#134

Well, maybe not a tower crane, but they've got two really big boom cranes at work.

It's making the building to the west look under-productive. It replaced a brick hardware store building 25ish years ago. It should have been set back a few more feet to provide a wider sidewalk.

They build these what seems right up to the roadway
Seen it at numerous projects at locations around the country

Lot line building is great, but there it made the sidewalk too narrow. It should have lined up with the bank building to the west. You can see in Framer's photo. Would any tenant have missed a couple feet? Or narrow the street of course.

^What I really hate is the building across Delmar that is actually built out above the sidewalk. Still can't believe they allowed that.

Yes the colonnade is oppressive. Another great idea from the 1960s.

Here's a pic of the completed building before it was re-clad so horridly.

Where were the pearl clutchers back then? A criminal can easily hide behind those columns and attack.

huh... the renderings show apartments and commercial space wrapping the garage at the corner of Delmar and Leland. maybe it's just the perspective, but it sure looks like the garage comes right up to the sidewalk...

There's still plenty of room between the garage and Vintage Vinyl. This building will stretch the entire block; it's huge.
