You referring to the Cheshire Inn? No, he apparently backed out of it as a result of hyper-sensitivity. He heard some critiques on a radio program he didn't take a liking to, and backed out. BTW, Lester's is fantastic and full of Cougars.

Also, I wouldn't call the food at Lesters 'Bar Food'. To me, bar food is what Flannery's serves. It's unspectacular, something that puts sustenance in your stomach. Nothing more.

Lesters food is really good.

15 was pretty packed on Saturday night. very cool space, I really enjoyed the outdoor area. The place is huge, but is broken into individual areas nicely. I met one of the munchkins from Wizard of Oz, random. He told me his movie line, pretty cool stuff.

I was by as well Sat. night .. great for Midtown ( east ) ..need more

people looking to this area as a destination and this is the type of establishment will help!

This is a start, along with Simply Fondue, Nectar, Pepper Lounge and Schlafly Tap Room, as well as the new residences, to connect downtown to midtown.

That's a good way to keep the hoosiers out, which is probably what they are after. I would also ban baseball caps.

That would be my guess.

I think I had originally read that the upstairs was going to be really nice, as in jacket and tie perhaps.

Good. Frankly, we need more places with dress codes like this, not less. As someone in Bernie's Pressbox said, those that have a problem with this can always go to Hrabosky's Tool Shed instead.

I was at F15teen Sunday night a took a couple pics - sorry you can't see more of the place . . . (sorry, I really couldn't resist!)

By the way, as I was leaving some Hoosier Cubs fan was getting irate outside because they wouldn't let him in. He was wearing a jersey and cap.

Don't you think it is just the least bit absurd, not to mention pecuniarily fatuous, for a bar/restaurant establishment, within walking distance of Busch Stadium and owned by a Cardinals player, to have a dress code that would effectively exclude 99% of Cardinals fans on game days?

^ It's not really the type of place one would go to directly after a game and it's about 18 blocks from the stadium - pretty much no one is going to be walking there from the ballpark.

That is the decision they made. We'll see how it works out.

I think it would only exclude 99% of the fans during the hot summer months, when everyone is wearing shorts. However, I am willing to wait to find out the details of the dress code. Maybe there will be exceptions.
