The plaque is right around the red mark, never noticed it before and I’ve walked by there 50 times in the last year
Isn't there a sign in there somewhere saying it's federal property? I never understood what I'm expected to do with that information. They don't want you to keep off or anything, just to know who owns it.
Maybe just a subtle way of saying, "Whether you're heading to a Cardinals game, Blues game or concert at the Stifel, better not do whatever kind of pregaming you're inclined to here."eee123 wrote: ↑Apr 03, 2021Isn't there a sign in there somewhere saying it's federal property? Technically, the whole park/plaza is a piece of artwork that was commissioned and is owned by the Federal Government. Of course, this makes any future development of the site problematic.

An easy one, I'm sure. Just wondering if anyone has an old photo of what this looks like under all that awful stucco.
Also, the stairs on the left side of the photo really just crack me up...

4200 block of Clayton, across from the BJC Commons. Not sure what it’s used for at the moment. Did Ronnoco buy it?
Yes, it's part of the Ronnoco complex.Laife Fulk wrote: ↑Apr 05, 20214200 block of Clayton, across from the BJC Commons. Not sure what it’s used for at the moment. Did Ronnoco buy it?

It really does, doesn't it? For an unassuming pizza joint it's an interesting little building.imran wrote: ↑Apr 06, 2021Packs a lot of attitude
Is that one of these horses in Ackert Park? I've always found those weathered concrete horses kind of poignant.
Digression, but when I first moved to St. Louis I used to live in a townhouse apartment not far away on Enright (now demolished, the site is part of the newish Wash U building between Eastgate and Westgate). Had my car stolen from the parking lot, taken for a joyride, then wrecked and abandoned in downtown St. Louis. The towing company that recovered it was very shady, they only accepted cash and had an ATM in the lobby with an exorbitant fee to use. It was later raided by the FBI and IRS and shut down. In addition to tax fraud and bribery, apparently the former police chief's daughter would get the cars loaned out to her. FBI affidavit outlines claim of payoffs to police

^Oh hey, you found our local mafia! There were some pretty good stories in the paper about that FBI sting.

They really are spectacularly cool. They remind me somehow of Mycenaean art.
Is it the Princeton Review on Delmar?
All the other obvious guesses I had were wrong...

Anyone know this guy?

No idea where that is, but the style of house leads me to think the inner-reaches of the County somewhere...maaaybe somewhere along the western edge of the city...
