I used to be able to post photos here using my Flickr, but now they don't work at all. Not sure what's up with that, but appreciate Framer for sharing a few the way he did. The interior renderings he posted are of the lobby and "Citrus Bar", which is just off of the pool deck. The building is "topped out" now, but crews still need to frame the penthouse level amenity space (which will include the theater room and stargazing lounge). That rooftop will also include its own viewing deck.

Here's a few more photos I can upload directly here.

I particularly like the curved columns and bar alcove area Framer posted from Chris's page. Great stuff! Thanks Framer and Chris. This is turning into a very nice building indeed.

^Looks so sleek from that angle! And there's a lot going on in that picture with the traffic juxtaposed against the park, planetarium aglow and a storm popping to the south. Keep posting the great pics.

Definitely an amazing photo. It really sucks, though, to have a 6+ lane road between our most urban neighborhood and our crown jewel park—not to mention the actual highway on the south side. It should be WAY easier and safer to cross Kingshighway.

100% agree.  I'd install stylized pedestrian foot bridges - kinda like the one that goes over I-64 from FPSE into BJC, but cooler - at these intersections in the CWE

1) Lindell and Kingshighway
2) Lindell and Euclid (I walk across this intersection literally 6-10X day and am nearly hit by a car 1/4 of the time.)
3) Euclid and Forest Park (likely the busiest everyday intersection for pedestrians in the entire metro)

Pedestrian bridges tend to be an admission of defeat at making roads safer rather than a solution. They're also not really economical because of the ADA, there's not enough space or $$ to build a bunch of ramps.

I'd place my hopes on the traffic calming/road diet proposed for Lindell as a solution to Euclid/Lindell. Not completly sure what to do about Forest Park Ave and Kingshighway, they do move a lot of traffic. In my dream of dreams they'd do a BRT on Kingshighway with bus lanes/stations in the middle, more practically they could time the ped signals better (e.g. giving pedestrians the signal to cross for a few seconds before cars get the green has been shown to increase safety).

Forest Park Ave should def have 2 traffic lanes each way instead of 3, let BJH cry about it but I don't think it's necessary.

Dude, CWE is the most walkable, dense, non-car oriented neighborhood we have and I'm admitting defeat.  It's terrifying out here.  Use some of that remaining Covid/Rams $$ and bring on the pedestrian bridges!  So, i'm not hit by a ***** car and maimed/killed.

Jokes aside - and I appreciate you engaging -- I understand everything you are relaying back and get it but let's just *build* some relatively immediate solutions. Doing so would improve STL for the STLiens like me and the many many many professionals who are not from STL and may more strongly consider staying if the city of STL's infrastructure wasn't so trash.

if I ever become a billionaire, I'm gifting those bridgers to the neighborhood gratis.

Could build tens of these across the city.

I guess I'm weird, but...I love seeing all that traffic and bustling vivacity on Kingshighway next to the peaceful tranquility (okay, that's a bit of a stretch) of Forest Park. Looks big city and we have so few views like that in our fair city.

Road diets for the less travelled roads? Fine. But leave my six-laned Kingshighway alone!

Something will be done once someone dies, maybe. And actual N-S transit will never be built. So Kingshighway will always look like a hellscape highway through here.

People will continued to be turned off by the sh*tty infrastructure and move to places that want to thrive, and the powers that be will continue to blame the earnings tax and fix nothing until the end of time.

ah, yes, lots of cars driving fast through a place—rather than humans walking around said place without being murdered by the cars—is "bustling vivacity". sorry i forgot.

Thanks for the nice comments on the photo!

I cross Kingshighway on foot almost every day. The changes they made with the bump outs have made a difference for sure, not as daunting as before as two lanes were effectively removed at crossings. I don’t think taking it down to 2 or 4 lanes would change how pedestrians interact with the park as there aren’t really any good entrances along Kingshighway apart from west pine

good entrances? you can walk into the park from pretty much anywhere along its perimeter if you're able to make it across the road/highway alive. taking it down to 2 lanes would absolutely make a huge difference. the narrower the road, the easier (less expensive) it is to build crossing infrastructure. 4 lanes + turn lane? no, probably not a huge difference. there should AT LEAST be substantial pedestrian crossings with curb bump-outs at every block.

i mean, all you have to do is go to any city with decent pedestrian infrastructure to feel the difference first hand.

This isn’t true. Most of the CWE lost convenient access to the park when the Victorian bridge over FPP was murdered by traffic violence. And the morons who run the park have placed ZERO priority on getting the bridge replaced.

Wydown-Skinker is the only neighborhood with good access and even there you have to contend with a street that’s way to wide and speeds that are way too high

Yes access from the core of CWE into the park is limited right now and will be even more limited in the near future. The Union/Lindell bridge and crossing will be replaced and inaccessible starting likely in 2027 as it's currently out for bid. The Grand Dr. bridge over FPP and MetroLink will be replaced soon after, likely overlapping. Steinberg's renovation which will reopen late this year has made it so the only ways to access the park from the East is across the Grand Dr. bridge or all the way to the south near Clayton Rd. So yes right now the only decent places to cross into the park in the whole north or east sides is at DeBaliviere, or the recently shortened and updated crossings at Lindell and W Pine, the latter of which now has a refuge island and is not that bad of a crossing relative to what it was before.

Also to clarify, the historic Victorian Bridge was not demolished, and neither was the historic truss bridge over MetroLink, it was a 1980s era bridge over FPP that was damaged by a city boom truck and had to be demolished, but correct - there are no public plans to replace it.

The bridge you have marked out with the red Xs was the historic iron bridge, not some bridge from the 80s. Its gone

No, the bridge that was demolished over FPP is this one:

The historic Wabash iron truss bridge is alive and well to the east of the demo'd bridge, its just closed off now because it is a dead end.
