I posted earlier, but I had a fantastic experience Friday for Zedd, including my metro ride.  The ONE possible hiccup was our return, which we chose to get on at the Stadium stop,  The train times said 29 and 31 minutes.  I was a bit miffed but then a train arrived in minutes.  No idea why it listed those time with one arriving.  My friends thought perhaps the train was late and the times thought it had already departed.  Everyone on the packed trains around me were pleasant.

I don't think I care how much it delays construction on the infrastructure under Union Station, Metro has no business cutting frequencies to 20 minutes on high demand nights with Cardinals, Blues, concerts, City, etc. It's genuinely one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in my life.

Either move the construction cuts to 11 PM or delay the construction from 9-11, I don't care. The status quo of making hundreds of people wait 20 minutes is just not acceptable in any way shape or form.

Officials are set to reveal a funding plan for widening of a 4-mile stretch of Highway N between Hawk Ridge Trail and Perry Cate Blvd. Construction is planning to begin in 2027.

The full project will cost $102 million, including $46.5M in state funds, $15M in federal funds, and $40M from St. Charles County.

A second project planned for 2028 would see 2.5 miles more of Highway N widened from Hawk Ridge Trail to Hopewell Road. That is currently estimated to cost $24 million.

Pretty funny peer in to the mind of a car brained person in this thread.

"I used transit early on, but then I moved away and now it's not convenient." Well maybe you should have considered that when you moved?

Obviously all the regular untrue fried brain fears about the train as well. Even suggesting taking the train is risking lives of employees. As if cars are not literal death machines.

I love how car brains fully believe parking in an area as dense and busy as the WashU area should be subsidized. Must make driving a car as easy as possible otherwise youre doing a bad.

Love that WashU actively makes driving and parking a nightmare. If everyone treated parking and accomadating cars like WashU, we'd have much less of car culture. Reality is cars cost more than anyone can imagine.

Missouri is considering improvements to Olive Blvd. from Midland east to Ferguson (U City). This is a fast, wide-open stretch of road which could certainly use some improvements.

What's the deal on South Grand going south right before Magnolia and the Tower Grove Park? Is this reduction to one lane permanent? I'm generally all for traffic calming and things like that but this is bit of a head scratcher. Constant backups and now people are getting mad and doing ridiculous St. Louis things in their vehicles, peeling out, I'll advised u turns, etc. I can't imagine this is permanent.

It officially becomes one lane in each direction about 600 ft south of there so I don't see the big deal. Maybe drivers just need to stop losing their minds every time their convenience isn't highest priority. They don't need to be speeding past the park any more than they need to be speeding through the business district. *shrug*

Great 100% agree. However, expect some occasional chaos right around there. 

Love when car brains whine about not bring catered to in every possible way. Reddit is a great source for some laughs. They're so close to grasping that car culture is incredibly destructive and horrific, but then just miss the mark.

Good public transit is desperately needed in south city, the traffic is evidnece of it.

well, yeah, drivers are entitled a**holes. they've been coddled for decades. unfortunately it's gonna take years of consistent pushback to reprogram them.

It is so much nicer to cross to the park now. I'm not sure if it was a signal adjustment on top of the lane changes but I'm appreciative.
