Morgan and Morgan to move from their office at 200 Broadway to PNC Center in Clayton later this year. They have signed a 17,000 square foot lease at the PNC Center, which is larger than their current 12,000 square foot space. They have 16 lawyers based in St. Louis and plan to expand.

The law firm exodus has just been a killer the last few years

There’s a couple more smallish ones that will leave when their lease is up that I’m aware of

CliftonLarsonAllen, who has 210 St. Louis-based employees, is considering a move to Clayton after their lease at 600 Washington expires in December 2027. They currently occupy 2 floors, or 31,000 square feet, of the nearly half-vacant building.

They are considering Centene Plaza B or Hanely Corproate Tower, but they also said they could stay at 600 Washington, especially if the Clayton space fills up.

The mayor's office had no comment, but said she would comment on downtown's future in the State of the City address.

seems like an etax break play, just like Lewis Rice

Both SLDC and GSL now have a person who's job is to meet with downtown businesses and retain them

Didn’t you post earlier this week on twitter that businesses don’t care about the E tax?

If I’m paying the tax, they should be paying the tax.

These 2,425 had a 14.93% vacancy on Jan 1 and April 17th its 12.16%  (+67 leases)

i was going to update this more often but ran into some issues with how under renovation units are handled.  the Bogen had more of those originally then i thought since threw off my starting point.

"James also owns Buddy’s Wine Bar and Bistro at 1001 Washington Ave. He is also planning to open a food and drink market, similar to Straub’s Fine Grocers, with a speakeasy, along Washington Avenue this summer. He declined to discuss the specifics of that project."

Owners of Bella's Coffee are apparently looking into a 3rd business concept on Washington Ave.
