Jersey barriers and fencing went up today, blocking the parking spots in front. Sidewalk is still open, but I do wonder how they will handle access to the Metro bus/train stop - the ramp carrying foot traffic up and over FPP begins in front of this building. It will be hard to keep open during demo and construction. The sidewalks around Forsyth Point have been closed.
A ramp is now being built on the sidewalk that will allow pedestrians coming from DT Clayton to walk around construction and link up with the existing ramp to the Metro station (and the other way around).NHampton wrote: ↑Mar 07, 2022Jersey barriers and fencing went up today, blocking the parking spots in front. Police HQ is coming down today.
Nearly gone now. They're moving fast. I took these this evening around 7 pm. When I was on my way to the train around 9:30 am the whole front facade still stood.
I think Chris posted a couple of these on the previous page. I hadn't seen the ballroom rendering though, looks like a nice spot.

^ Did a crane go up? They’ve been working on this one (or at least excavating for the foundation) since about April.
Core is rising. It's concrete blocks, not poured concrete, if you're interested in that kind of thing.
