Is that real estate firm still moving into the bank building on DeBaliviere? There’s been no movement on it. Still hoping for a better use there.

You mean the corner retail storefront?
Yeah, the one that was rehabbed with the Dorze apartments

That building's currently being sold and that corner retail unit was not marketed as having a tenant. I don't think there's anything happening with it, and that nothing will happen until after the sale closes.

Thanks! I remembered hearing the rumor the real estate company marketing the building was going to be moving in there and had it confirmed by two people, but yeah, looks like that isn’t happening. Hoping for more productive use as a cafe or sandwich shop.

^I like the idea and hope that something like this is done one day, but the NIMBYs would sh*t themselves.

Nice quality rendering I like it. It’s in the middle of the neighborhood though so I agree with Chris. NIMBYs would die of a heart attack.

I tried posting this picture in the NEXTSTL comments, but couldn't. In any event, here's a photo of construction of the St. Louis Public Library kiosk that sat on the southeast corner of Kingsbury & Des Peres (just a half-block from the site SeattleNative discusses) from 1983-1992. It was a funny little structure that added a lot of life and color to the Four Corners.

Thanks for sharing. I’d read the library used to be in the middle of the neighborhood but had never seen pictures.

The Walker Townhomes plan is dead. A neighbor bought the land and is planning a 4 unit senior-compatible (elevator) condo building.

Interested to see that. Hope SDHC got a decent return on the land to potentially move forward other goals.

5731 DeGiverville is getting a rehab. That’s at least 3 houses on the 5700 block of DeGiverville that are getting rehabs right now after being vacant for some period of time.

Wasn't expecting to see that much height or that much basement on one of the empty Des Peres lots.

Just awesome! An ugly box constructed of fine materials and so obviously appropriate to its surroundings. And the creative flair of the architect is amazing What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood I am sure the neighbors are celebrating this monstrosity.

Can't tell if you're being serious or making fun of the NIMBYs in Skinker-DeBaliviere.
