Must not be updated. There’s been people living there for a few months in the finished portions.wabash wrote:Lux Living websites say "Complete 2021" and "Now Preleasing" depending on which one you read. Seems to be struggling to get over the finish line.
Despite the construction hiatus, the north building of Expo at Forest Park directly across the street is quickly catching up with this one.
Yeah, plenty of people living there. Have been for a while on the SE side. NW side is starting to see folks move in now I think. And I I’m pretty sure they still have to finish siding the top on the back. Their clubhouse on the top floor is still just studs. And the commercial space is still just an empty space. I haven’t heard even a whisper about potential movement on that yet.wabash wrote:Lux Living websites say "Complete 2021", "Complete Q1 2022", and "Now Preleasing" depending on which one you read. Not surprised with how poor the workers set up contraction fencing and cleanup after themselves. There were times you could just take materials off site and nobody would know and there are nails littered around the sidewalk that is open to the public. Lux has bad reviews all over Reddit as well for being poorly managed. I hope they can turn it around for the better but what a rough start at the Hudson.SeattleNative wrote:Already has two reviews. Their history aside, it seems they were sort of asking for it getting tenants in there when there is so much work to be done.SeattleNative wrote: ↑Jan 25, 2022Already has two reviews. Both 1 star complaining about management.

What a nightmare. This seems to be consistent with just about all of The Hudson's Google Reviews. I hope it doesn't color your opinion of St. Louis too much.jayarebee wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2022Hi Everyone! I’ve been a resident at Hudson for about a month now. I moved to St. Louis from Georgia and followed the posts in this thread for months to see updates from afar, so I really appreciate those of you who helped me watch the progress. Unfortunately, I have many regrets moving to this building. I really wish I had done my research on LuxLiving. There are lots of residents who are very upset about the lack of safety and security, poor communication, poor quality of construction materials, etc. There were actually quite a few negative reviews posted on Google which mysteriously disappeared. We also have an internal community app where negative posts are deleted (presumably by management). The property manager and construction manager prefer to simply ignore our complaints about the most basic of needs rather than address them. Some of the residents have lived here since last July and were promised completion dates of September, then October, then December. We’re now being told mid-March. The only amenity we have is the gym which was just completed in December. A town hall meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow to address residents concerns has been postponed until further notice. The owners Vic and Sid are really living up to their poor reputation with this building. I’m trying to get more eyes and ears on what’s going on at the Hudson, so if anyone knows of any investigative journalists or someone we can reach out to in order to get more exposure on this, I would really appreciate it.
Sorry to hear this. While I can imagine the delayed timeline for completion is related to supply chain issues (they’ve really slowed down on siding the north elevation), the building management is really indefensible. I’m hopeful that they sell this building as soon as possible and some better management comes in.jayarebee wrote:Hi Everyone! I’ve been a resident at Hudson for about a month now. Improving building quality is one thing. Supposedly not caring is another. I’m sure they care but complaining what seems like once to property management then running to a forum to find a way to rip them in the media seems like a big time grifter.urban_dilettante wrote:^ sounds like it's more than just "a common problem". it's recurring problems at multiple developments and lots of bad reviews. they've developed a reputation for poor management and cheap construction. almost seems like they don't really care. if they do, they need to get their sh*t together. i hope they do b/c it reflects poorly on the city.
Lol. Don’t be dumb Chris. There is a decade of document sh*tty management from this company. So sh*tty that they had to change their name.chriss752 wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2022Improving building quality is one thing. Supposedly not caring is another. In my view, you moved into a building that you should’ve knew was still under construction. You assumed the risks that came with that decision.
Yes, we have a GroupMe chat with lots of residents discussing issues and trying to figure out how to get some resolution. This experience has no impact on my view of St. Louis. I like it so far…except for the snow, of coursewabash wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2022What a nightmare. This seems to be consistent with just about all of The Hudson's Google Reviews. The property manager told me the commercial space will likely be a restaurant. I’m actually looking forward to the grocery store that I hear is coming to the Expo across the street.SeattleNative wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2022Sorry to hear this. Still no word on a tenant for the commercial space.

Most people here are paying about $2K+ in rent which is why we’re so upset with the living conditions and poor management.chris fuller wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2022poor quality of construction materials
HA I have been on this for sometime with these 'fancy' new buildings (going up all over the country); once one scratches below the patina of these boxes one realizes how cheap they are. And how much do residents pay monthly for these boxes?
Thank you!TheWayoftheArch_V2.0 wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2022https://www.kmov.com/site/station_info/ ... _id=992016jayarebee wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2022Hi Everyone! Thank you! There is a long history of issues with properties managed and developed by Vic and Sid. There are lots of videos and posts all over social media documenting issues by their tenants across many of their properties. They only care about building cheap and fast with zero regard for the people living there.urban_dilettante wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2022^ sounds like it's more than just "a common problem". it's recurring problems at multiple developments and lots of bad reviews. they've developed a reputation for poor management and cheap construction. almost seems like they don't really care. if they do, they need to get their sh*t together. i hope they do b/c it reflects poorly on the city.
The many name changes are definitely a red flag. Some of the residents were looking for permit info and found a list of all the companies under their name:dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2022Lol. Maybe you can jump across the street to the Expo when it opens! Would hate to lose you from the neighborhood, I promise it’s a great area of the city to live in!jayarebee wrote:The property manager told me the commercial space will likely be a restaurant.
