Are you sure they weren’t at wheelhouse or start bar at some point of the night? It’s known for underage drinking?dweebe wrote: ↑Sep 12, 2021Nice try with the “shot at the Wheelhouse”dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Sep 12, 2021Since Reign closed on Friday
2 people shot at the Wheelhouse (1000 Spruce)
1 person shot and killed at Shell station at 13th and Convention
The first shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. inside an apartment in the 1000 block of Spruce between 11th and 10th Streets. Police said a 19-year-old man had got into an argument with an unidentified suspect. During the confrontation, the suspect shot the teen in his torso. A 17-year-old girl was also shot in her arm.

It’s a great example of how little the problem property process worksEbsy wrote: ↑Sep 12, 2021Heartily endorsing closing that shell station. Really a shame it didn't burn last summer!
Or how about the shooting happened at Wheelhouse but the police moved the bodies in order to protect their white bar owner friends?dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Sep 12, 2021Are you sure they weren’t at wheelhouse or start bar at some point of the night? Ok I might be new to the city but having 5-0 move bodies its a little too Hollywood!! I doubt that!

Actually, according to Fox2 it was a block away from the Shell station. Which makes sense that it'd be 13th bc the Shell is of course on Tucker.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Sep 12, 20211 person shot and killed at Shell station at 13th and Convention

13th and Convention is the NW corner of the shell lot
^^Though did not realize 13th was that close.

I mean it’s not a block away, the interaction is the gas station, the idea that it’s a drug deal gone bad with participants meeting at said gas station lot (as they often do) is very likelyOnTheEdge wrote: ↑Sep 13, 2021^^Though did not realize 13th was that close.

That’s what it was! I’m telling you I saw not one but two drug transactions at that Shell Gas Station! That place is a farmers market of drugs!!dbInSouthCity wrote:I mean it’s not a block away, the interaction is the gas station, the idea that it’s a drug deal gone bad with participants meeting at said gas station lot (as they often do) is very likelyOnTheEdge wrote: ↑Sep 13, 2021^^Though did not realize 13th was that close.

Okay, fair enough. Again, didn't realize 13th was that close and agree that I wouldn't characterize it as "a block away" but more at the immediate location of the Shell.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Sep 13, 2021I mean it’s not a block away, the interaction is the gas station, the idea that it’s a drug deal gone bad with participants meeting at said gas station lot (as they often do) is very likelyOnTheEdge wrote: ↑Sep 13, 2021^^Though did not realize 13th was that close.

Late 2023 or early 2024. It’s dumb I know. That’s when the fed $ is available but the city should forward fund it now and get fed $ later. We have all that moneymjbais1489 wrote: ↑Sep 13, 2021Anyone know when the tucker Ave cycle project is going to begin construction?

Coatar 'looking for solutions' to issues when the multi modal plan has been sitting around close to 3 years now. Combine some of the Covid money bonds to be repaid from the Rams settlement in 10 years, lots of things could be fixed.

The BJ is reporting that an apparel statup AGOGIE left downtown due to concerns over crime. I still question the veracity of the claims in the P-D article, but I'm glad the BJ is tying up some of the loose ends. Its also clear that the startup's warehousing needs were the primary reason they moved out of downtown.

^ the parking lots aren’t a joke. Have multiple friends completely lose their cars at lots behind T-Rex and along Convention Plaza.
I would like the city adopt an ordinance that requires public and private parking operators submit the following for surface lots and garages:
- Annual structural and pavement reports, capital and maintenance strategy
- Security and crime mitigation strategy
- Utilization rates and pricing
- Annual fee of $100 per space for non-compliance
Better yet, DowntownSTL, DNA, or CentralCity should hire a parking operations manager to oversee this program and offer low-cost solutions to bring parking owners into compliance.

I mean if don’t want to cooperate and don’t want to move the horse and have a gun on your waist you must pull your gun!OnTheEdge wrote:KMOV: Police officer pulls gun on man riding horse at Ballpark Village
So many questions
My question is how are horses making it to Downtown! The first one I thought it was cool as the person stayed on the road (Wash Ave) but not wanting to obey the law is a whole different story.
