The Chesterfield IKEA article was so good that I think people were still finding it a year or two after the fact and thinking it was real.

"I was pandered in the Loop recently..." LOL. i'm afraid the recent media attention is gonna turn the NextSTL comments into a catastrophe. it's never good when Edward Hecker gets wind of your blog. these f*cking people...

P.S. the bottom two are fine but I enjoyed "Home Despot" so included it in the capture.

No need for Rodger to mention that he was vibe robbed. You can tell as much from his post.

Is that like having your buzz killed? 🤔

Also, being pandered on a city street can be embarrassing, especially when it's sarcastic. It's a slippery slope that can lead to being patronized and condescended, which would be traumatic.

^At least some of this is surely the auto-correct demon making a hash out of someone's thoughts. But . . . it's definitely funny. I hate it when random people on the street pander to me. I have no desire to become a pampered popinjay. Just a regular one.

Well, we have gone way, way, way off topic here. Good times, but very far from the tread purpose.

Which pisses me off beyond degree. Not because we're off-topic, but because the SE corner of Lindell & Kingshighway - perhaps the most prime open and undeveloped corner in all STL City - has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOING ON, NOW OR IN THE IMMEIDATE FUTURE!!!

Waste like this is damn near sinful.

Is that really surprising considering kind of project that will be expected at this corner, the pandemic, and that 100 just opened? Idk about you, but I don't want just anything going here. Hell, even a "good" project is not acceptable. Whatever is proposed must be exceptional.

If I were all of you, I'd keep an eye on this property over the next year or two.

Correct and it won't, which is why I'm encouraging everyone to pay attention over the next year or two. Not saying anything is eminent, bit also not saying anything is far off either.

Ah well, ok, if it pays the bills...but they can still squeeze the QuikTrip-WalMart joint venture into the podium, right...?

Strongly second the Life Size Voltron motion.  It will activate the dead corner of Forest Park there in a way nothing else could 😂
