Interesting to see Cordish planning on bringing the Spark Coworking concept to BPV. They’re about ready to open the location in KC. I imagine ours will go in the PwC Pennant Building.
This is more or less confirmed now. Building permits reveal it will go on the 9th floor of the PwC building. $1.1 Million building permit applied for on December 29th but has not yet been issued.
The new apartment tower in Ballpark Village opened this summer. How much of it is leased? It’s been doing great. That’s kind of our shining star right now with the project. I think the latest numbers have it at 86% leased. It’s almost fully occupied. I’m really, really happy with that. The reviews are very positive.
This number matches what was previously mentioned in here.
Poking out behind the smokestack here. This has always been one of my favorite shots of St. Louis. Plenty of brick, the old City Hospital, a bunch of Federal style row houses, the skyline, the Arch...quintessential St. Louis.
It's a shame that highway interchange is as large as it is, but it was built that way for the North-South Distributor highway. If MODOT was up for it, they could probably drastically shrink that interchange.
But staying on topic, I would like to say that I joined OneLife at BPV in October. It's a nice place. Employees are friendly and it's been mostly quiet whenever I have gone. The busiest I have ever seen it was with 25 people + 6 employees in the building. Some days I go, it's just me, a few employees and like another person. They've kept it clean, equipment works well (as it should), and no problems have arisen.
As I've gone all these months so far, it's interesting to see who is there and who's not. By now, I recognize 80% of the people that come in (mostly because of their hair styles, mask colors, and so on).
One interesting thing to note is that you can occasionally hear the bass from music being played at Sports and Social if you're in the recovery room or group studios when nothing is going on on the 2nd floor.
So apparently Sinclair Broadcasting - who owns 21 of the Fox Sports Regional networks after Disney was forced to sell them following their acquisition of 21st Century Fox - has entered a naming-rights deal with Bally's Casino, and all of their regional sports networks will be rebranded with the Bally's name. Meaning - Fox Sports Midwest will soon become Bally Sports Midwest (and Fox Sports New Orleans will become Bally Sports New Orleans, etc.).
I assume that means the venue in Ballpark Village currently named "Fox Sports Midwest Live!" will soon become "Bally Sports Midwest Live!" with new signage featuring the new logo?

Bally’s is investing heavily in sports gaming. Cordish is involved with many casinos so it could make sense (if the state legalized it) for a little gaming center at BPV.
My hope would be they find someone else other than Bally to put over the Live! name. I'd prefer it simply becoming "Cardinals Live!" or "St. Louis Live!".
I don't get why Missouri isn't racing to legalizing sports gaming. The freedom to gamble would seem to be prime GOP territory. Yet it's been legal in other states for more than a year. Here...crickets.
There will be a sportsbook at Wrigley Field.
Regardless, the "Live!" name is stupid. What's it even mean, besides that Cordish registered that name and will use it at every single Cordish location?

I think it's just a testament to the general dysfunction and ineptitude in Jeff City.
Looking forward to watching a game in Together Credit Union Plaza at Bally Total Fitness Sports Midwest Live! Cardinals Nation Ballpark Village

That’s one of the best outdoor plazas in the city, though, so I don’t really care what goofy advertisements they put up in it.
A new coworking space is on deck at Ballpark Village.
The St. Louis Cardinals and development partner Cordish Cos. said Tuesday they plan to open a 30,000-square-foot coworking concept, called Spark St. Louis, this spring at Ballpark Village’s office tower.

Don’t know about BPV but this was announced quite a ways back.
I’m not happy about my Blues broadcasts being turned into a sports book, tbh.

Translation: Cordish couldn't find a tenant for the space.
^ There’s a Spark in Baltimore, Louisville and KC. I don’t think it’s odd they’d put one in their development here either.
Cordish has a tendency to load up their developments with all the same concepts. Though I’m not disagreeing on the struggles of filling downtown office space...but Spark was probably coming here no matter what.

The Busch II Infield plaza? It really is kind of incredible. One of my last nights before I moved away was spent just sitting there and listening to the 5 or so tables of people enjoying a beer. I fell in love with that space.

I'll second that. Especially now that it's filled in. It's a really nice, almost intimate kind of gathering place now. I generally take people from out of town out in the city's neighborhoods and not so much downtown, but the Busch II infield and 360 are usual stops. The infield is always a huge hit.
^ Thanks for the tips guys, I always take people to the indoor part of BPV but the infield looks really nice with the additions. Do they have a specific bar that serves that area and I presume they are open on non-game days?
Never been to 360 either, will have to check that out as well.

Sports and Social is open on that Plaza. That's about it for now.
