I think this is instagram, do you know if she posts on twitter anywhere? I would love to be able to retweet them.matguy70 wrote: ↑Feb 02, 2019Two things...
If we didn't have MidAmerica STL taking passengers on Allegiant away from STL International, it would be ahead of Nashville and San Jose. Hate Allegiant but all these other major airports have their flights. I think STL should pitch them a deal.
Second....
This photo was posted on twitter yesterday. Southwest has several planes parked over on D after E40. STL though is getting that big airport busy feel back with the number of passenegers, flights anand connections.

Do you (or anyone else) happen to have a picture(s) of the C27/28 area? I'm interested in seeing the renovations.
C27/28 area has not been remodeled yet. It is still 90s Lambert style. I'm flying out on American on Sunday, I'll grab some pics for you.
Not the best quality, I was running late and hustling a bit. Sun County was sitting at C27. I took a pick of C28 as it’s still striped for a 747.

Thanks so much for uploading all of these photos. My goodness, that's a lot of real estate to reactivate. I'd forgotten how big Concourse C was. The re-opening of these two gates, along with C29 and 30, will bring that "big airport" feel back to Lambert.
There has to be more good news coming for the airport in 2019.
It also looks like there space for retail/eating establishments. It will be nice to see these areas back in use one day.

It is a fairly large area by square feet. I’d say it’s aroubd 25% of the existing open C concourse. The area between C24 and C28 used to be a fairly big retail space. There is probably 200-250ft between C24 and C28. I think there used to be a few fast food and “news stand” establishments around the inclinded moving walkway.
I think E34-40 showed us it really wasn’t a “spec” addition, and SW intended to take over that area ASAP. Hopefully the same will be said for this area. Even if it’s just a few fast food restaurants, that would be a welcomed addition to C.

I can see them putting another Starbucks (third) in C, along with an Aunti Anne's and a BK down there in pretty short order. They can also fit another Hudson in there too.pmt257 wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2019frequentflyer wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2019

Awesome photos. Will be interesting to see what they will do next. Hope C29-C38 to opens up soon and for someone to snap some pictures there as well.

Interesting side note --
I'm on STL's "Non Stop Service" page and they've removed WOW as the carrier to KEF. The destination, however, still remains on the page, as do several other destinations that currently have no service, due to the seasonal nature of the routes.
SO...does this mean an Icelandair announcement is coming soon? Otherwise, wouldn't they delete the destination?
In other updates, they're finally showing Frontier providing service to Punta (replacing Swiss Air) and Volaris providing service to Los Cabos. They don't show Huatulco as a destination, even though Volaris was supposed to start service there on Jan.19. This must be another oversight on their part.

They're great pictures. I appreciate your sharing them. It's good to see what's back there as I've not flown AA in a while. I expect this will change soonish, but man, it's nice to get a peak beforehand.pmt257 wrote: ↑Feb 03, 2019frequentflyer wrote: ↑Jan 31, 2019Yes, please try to take some pics! Thanks for posting those photos of C. the last time I was down that far, I was literally running before they shut the door. Although I swear the part of the concourse that I was in was more of a big open room. Maybe it was beyond that door?
I posted on twitter about the nostalgia going on on this thread, specifically the big purple tubes at the end of C. I got this great response:
They're still there! And the skylight appears to be in good shape. Excited to see it in person in the next 5? 10? 15 years? I was mostly surprised by the location of that gyp board wall. Much further down C than I was expecting.

Thanks for posting that! Cool to see a modern picture. I haven't seen that area since 07/08ish. I'd agree that is a fairly good bet we are looking at the otherside of the new barrier after C30. That will be a great expansion to C. However I do wish they would just open the remaining as the end of C offers some great views of the entire airfield. Even if it wasn't renovated.aprice wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2019Thanks for posting those photos of C. the last time I was down that far, I was literally running before they shut the door. Hopefully it is even less than 5 year till the remaining is open.
With C29/30 opening up soon here is what is left of C. I think the wall going in now will be just to the left/west of C31.

I have floor plans for the entire airport. You used to be able to download them but you can’t anymore. They airport closed a bunch of loops that used to make it easy to get info. One of my biggest gripes with the airport is lack of transparency. If there is a section you want I can screen shot it. I would offer to email you the file but I think it’s too big to email.Perseus767 wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2019Where did you find this image? Is the one moving walkway going to 27 28 and then onward working now?

Maybe you can put everything in a google drive folder and share it similar to what pmt did. That way it could benefit everyone as well.jshank83 wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2019I have floor plans for the entire airport. You used to be able to download them but you can’t anymore. Those pictures of C up thread a bit are great. I haven't been in that concourse in probably close to a decade or longer.
Will this new renovation match up with the newer C gates from after the tornado, or are we looking at an after shot here? It looked like some of the gate signage is similar but the rest leaves a bit to be desired lol.

Fortunately I managed to snag a copy of the Leased Premises document as well before access was removed.Perseus767 wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2019Maybe you can put everything in a google drive folder and share it similar to what pmt did. That way it could benefit everyone as well.
Here's a copy for anyone who wants it.
Should be the same version jshank has. It's likely a bit out of date now, but such is life when the airport removes access to stuff like this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks. I’ve never used google drive so I’m happy you posted.Trololzilla wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2019Fortunately I managed to snag a copy of the Leased Premises document as well before access was removed.Perseus767 wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2019Maybe you can put everything in a google drive folder and share it similar to what pmt did. I've been working on a compiled floor plan in a single image of all sections of the airport. Don't worry, is what I like to do in my free time, and so you won't have to scroll through every page. Problem is I'm afraid that if I share it with everyone I will get copyrighted because technically I have edited it, although the plans themselves are not changed. I'm not sure though.
Having all the puzzle pieces together makes the floor plan look much nicer and less confusing. That's for sure.

That would be nice. Sometimes where they are cut makes it tough when you have to go back and forth.Perseus767 wrote: ↑Feb 05, 2019I've been working on a compiled floor plan in a single image of all sections of the airport. ^ That would be nice. I just did that last night and yeah I kept having to scroll back and forth to look at things. I also never knew how much space the airport had at the apron level.
Would be nice to have the airport posting updates to these diagrams. I'd like to see it with all the new Southwest gates open. Has anyone asked why the airport seems intent on hiding what are rather innocuous documents and diagrams?

Does anyone know copyright law? I would think simply placing all the pictures together into one big image would be fair use. I'm not sure though. I'm not in the mood to get sued.
