It will be cuirous to see if the flight back to St. Louis from Charleston is any fuller. From my boarding position i got 24 hours before it does seem that way. But I think its hard to expect full flights on flights that were announced only 6 weeks prior. Also I remember at least one of the directions had no easy connections due to times (other direction had some decent ones from west coast) Will be interesting if i spot the Dreamlifter again. And then i fly right back out after getting back for an interview with a 5 1/2 hour wait where i see both evening banks happen.

I don't know if you will see much next schedule extension. Hard to beieve they would cut anything that isn't normal seasonal adjustments since they would have done that at the end of the summer with the mass fleet retirement occuring due to the MAX models appearing. Also it could depend on how many more planes they will have ready by then. Could see for example Cancun fly more than just Saturday if planes were available. Likely a few other adds could happen too, especially if they want to shift connections more away from Chicago.

They have begun hanging the sculpture in T2. Also, flightaware indicated that a Virgin Atlantic 747-400 was chartered into KSTL today to Amsterdam. Left from one of the C gates.

Dang it! I didn't even look today! (I check in most days lately to see what's on the public schedule.) Anybody get pics?
Oh my. You guys remind me on my friend Eric, puttering about Dupo for shots of an SD90 in heritage livery or a refurbished F40PH.

Heavy sigh...I miss the F40PH.

That would seem to explain why a 747 flew over my head last night. Planes fly over all day and night on approach, but I rarely see a four engine plane up there.

If Lambert is serious about new service, it should really provide free WiFi. Isn't it just one of like two airports in the U.S. that doesn't? Not that pressing an issue, but it sure seems like a no-brainer.

Posting via the free wifi at lambert right now in t2. On My way to Portland

Lambert just shared a video of it on their FB page.

Pretty cool. Wasn't sure we'd see a 747 again at Lambert.

I an sitting in terminal 2 and noticed quite a bit of finishing up work on the new gate areas .

Also, in watching planes go in and out I think I saw something odd. This afternoon evening I saw two different Alaska mainline flights. It looks like it and wondered if that is the case. Wonder if they upguauged the Portland flight or if it's a diversion.

I didn't see any extra ones on flightaware. Just the Seattle flight. The Portland flight is on an Embraer 175 which has under wing engines and looks kind of a like a mainline. Maybe that is what you saw? I road on one a couple months ago from SFO. Not a bad ride.

This was a sales agent chartered flight for State Farm. STL to Stockholm.

By the way.... It used a gate in C Concourse. The pic above is it taxing into the gate.

Guilty as charged.

(Yeah, no F40PH, SD90, or heritage paint, but I'd say that's still a darned fannish shot. Might be a little foam. And not just in the cab of the Alco.)

And yeah, the F40PH was a nice piece of locomotive.

Thank you! You know which gate? Did they go into closed land or will things west of the wall accept a jumbo?

Thank you kinger! Went and watched. Was nice to see. Also nice to see the MD-80 racing off in the background and the Alaska 737 queued up behind it.

It looked like C28 when I looked close at the video. It also has one of the bigger painted parking spots also when looking at imagery.

C28 based on shape of the white capped red stripe on the pavement in the bottom portion of the video.

I must have edited my post after you replied. There is no C26 so it has to be C28. haha.

Doh! You can just make out the plaque for C-28 at the end of the thing. So yes, past the wall. I was doing some serious looking the other day to suss out what gate I'd departed from on my very first flight way back when, but it hadn't occurred to me to look at the video in the same way I looked at my old slides.

(I think I probably flew out of C-36, by the way. So I think I was confusing the end of C with the end of B. Or something inexplicable and silly.)

Just because it's a TWA L-1011 and you can't really argue with that . . .

I just noticed that Frontier doesn't fly to Tampa anymore. I was pretty sure they did a few months ago when I was booking a trip for my mother. I don't know if anyone on here watches Frontier all that closely but do you know when it was cut? Maybe I am thinking of Allegiant (I know they fly there) but I thought it was Frontier. I can't see any news on it being cut so maybe it was cut awhile ago.

Late may. It's a seasonal winter route. Most Frontier service out of TPA is during the winter.

oh got it. It isn't listed on their site as seasonal (or anything) so I wasn't sure. Hopefully it comes back.

Something might be up with Frontier and their service to STL. In an OAG (airline schedule) filing, they are dropping STL-DEN from 2x daily to 1x daily in mid-August and then dropping service altogether in November.

I think the OAG on November is wrong. It has them dropping a ton of routes from Denver in November. I think it is because they only have their schedule one day into November. I was a little surprised they dropped to one daily after they just changed it to 2x daily this month. Maybe it will be a 2x in the summer months route?

Hmm, I don't remember seeing that as I fly to TPA about once every couple of months. I know F9 flies STL-MCO and, because of that, WNs fares are much better there as opposed to STL-TPA. I wish there was another nonstop from STL-TPA to give a little competition because the 3x week STL-PIE flights don't seem to affect the WN pricing into TPA.

All service to DEN, which is their main hub. I have a hard time imagining they are going to keep services to other cities when they aren't serving their base.

It's possible it's a misfiling which will be corrected next week... we'll see.
