I went. Decent number of folks showed up when I was there, probably 40 or so. Alderman Browning was there. Nothing new than what is online. Talked with some of the engineers, they know there are bike lane issues but can’t add road width in the park. There isn’t room for a westbound ramp from Lindell to FPP so the new signal is necessary in their opinion. The eastbound exit from FPP to Lindell will remain, there will be no right turn to the park from the signal on FPP. I asked if a roundabout was considered, the answer was yes but it was impractical due to the volume of pedestrians and bikes as well as the additional space needed.

Union is 70 ft wide in the park. Plenty of room for bike lanes.

I asked about that, but apparently reducing space for cars in any way isn't allowed

There was a community meeting last night to show the latest plans. Wasn’t well publicized so I missed it. Did anyone go?

I did. It was a paltry sad turnout. Anyway, the plan is good and I understand their rational for the latest design. Made perfect sense.

Missed opportunity, they didn't reach out to any of the adjacent neighborhoods that I know of.  I believe this is the meeting material, some nice changes and I like the design.  Will be dramatically safer.

Hope so. The little bridge replacement over the Metrolink tracks on Kingsbury was around the corner for like 4 years. It's finally happening
