I have learned that you can never have enough lighting and lighting can make a huge difference so always try to add lights where I can. I think I added an additional 24 feet of track lights in my new place.
I agree. And that's a lot of track lighting you've added. I enjoy a lot of lighting myself so that is why I quickly noticed the lack of lights.
Pics look fantastic. The wife and I nearly put a contract down on one of the x03 units (corner unit facing NW), but we decided on the Alexa instead. If anyone has pics of that unit I would be very interested in checking them out.
How vibrant will it be down at the OPO when the Syndicate, Arcade, Alexa, and Roberts Tower are complete?
The units look nice (they always do), but what's with that workout room? Blech! How hard would it be to paint it white and raise the ceiling another 6 inches? It looks so dreary in there, I'd be depressed long before I saw my flabby gut in the mirror! Plus, it's awfully sparse. Hope they plan on adding some more equipment.

The X03 unit is awesome. The views are just spectacular as you have a true panorama of windows. Plus, it's a nice 2 bedroom layout with a bonus room which is perfect for a small office.
Yes, this area will be hoppin' in due time. Also looking forward to the urban plaza right at 9th and Locust which is sort of under construction.
A good friend of mine bought 1303 so keep in touch with me and I'll get you in once he closes so you can see it up close and personal. Will probably be ready March/April/May.

Yup, a bit blah in color no doubt. I'm sure it's just a matter of simplicity and some money. Easier to paint the whole thing one color and be done with it. Plus it has been the experience of the developer that what they think looks good doesn't always jive with what the residents think looks good. So they figure they'll paint a neutral color and let the association make it how they want. And yes, flat screen TVs still need to be installed, and I think there may be an area outfitted with mats for stretching and the such. Not sure if any more equipment is coming. I would like to see a bigger free weight area and may donate some equipment upon moving in.
As for the ceiling, there are spots in there that are taller but some areas where beams are lower. You really habe to walk the space to get the feel. It's not as dreary as you might think. Ceiling height was an issue on all floors. They attempted to keep ceilings as high as possible wherever they could. I think average ceiling height hovers around 9.5 feet.
I love this building. A bit minimalistic, but still nice. I just hope they can attract some profitable retail in those first two floors... maybe an Apple store?

Good call. They are getting some pieces custom made so just waiting on that. Also, the furniture is temporary as they have the permanent pieces on order. And lastly, they are considering splashing some color on a wall or two. Will repost photos when all is complete.

*raises hand*
You know, umm, if they're looking for someone to, ahh, take the furniture when they're done with it, I'd gladly find a spot at home...
Drove by last night and noticed that they now have some exterior lighting up and running on the west side of the building, You'll have to look high as for the moment only the upper third is lit but looks really nice.

A few condos are now occupied. And a good number of apartment residents are in. Next round of condo closings will probably happen in just about one month. It seems like things are going pretty well inside even though they are living in a building that is still heavily under construction. It's nice to not have the constrution crew using the finished lobby and trashing the elevators.
Does anyone know what the current availibility is like for the Syndicate? I had previously reserved a unit, but had to break it in 2006 since it looked like I wouldn't be moving to St. Louis. Of course, here it is a over a year later, and where am I living now? St. Louis! Definitely not in a position to buy a place yet, but am keeping a mildly curious eye on things just the same.

I believe that are just over 50% sold. Interest is strong.

Thanks, you clearly do rock. Any further word on how the move ins are going? My previous reservation on the 12th floor had an estimated move in set for end of Feb. From what I've read, it sounds like that would need to be pushed back.

Move-ins are going well, but yes, have been delayed. I would look for the 12th floor to close around mid-late April. Which unit did you have reserved?
The party rocker maybe has better info than I do. We closed and moved in to our 9th floor unit in December. I believe a number of other 9th floor buyers chose not to close until some issues are resolved....1. The building garage is not ready for use yet....so Loftworks purchased monthly parking passes for those who chose to move in untlil the building garage is ready for use...2. Loftworks ran into some electrical inspection issues on the undercabinet lights. They have had numerous meetings with inspectors to resolve this, but so far, the issue remains unresolved. They are moving folks in floor by floor. The 10th floor units should be closing in February, at least for those folks who are willing to use the 9th Street Garage and possibly go without undercabinet lights. The 11th floor, will probably be ready for closings in March and the 12th floor in April. My guess is that the building garage will probably be ready for use in March. God and the electrical inspectors are probably the only ones who know when the undercabinet lights will be installed.

Nothing major as the inspections only have to do with the undercabinet lighting. I would expect this to be resolved soon.
My info tells me that they hope to have the parking garage ready in time for the 10th floor move-ins.
But hey, I'll take parking in the garage-mahal and waiting for my undercabinet lights to work in exchange for a move-in any day.

I was 1213.
That's a nice unit. Over 1800 SF with a balcony plus being on the 12th floor you would have had some decent views off your balcony.
