I've actually been pretty disappointed in the selection at any H&M I've been to. It appears to be NY fashion from about 5 years ago. :?

^Funny, H&M is big in London, and known for having cheap prices and current styles. I’m starting to see a lot of those styles show up in America 3 years later. Maybe the European stores just have a better selection. By the way, I’m now seeing hairstyles in America that were popular 5 years ago in London. Of course it goes both ways. Londoners often take a few years to pick up on American styles.

Anyway, back to Syndicate, I love this building! This place would be ideal for some 2-story retail such as Boarders, Virgin, H&M, etc.

Speaking of H&M in London. Would LOVE to see Top Shop come to the states. Like H&M but much more stylish.

On the loft tour, I asked on of the reps about the retail and he said they have 3 letters of intent out to national retailers and of course he could not say who, he said check back in 3-4 weeks and we will see what happens with the LOI...

What's amazing to me is that people go all the way to London and then shop.

A letter of intent isn't worth the paper they are printed on. Hopefully they can convert just one of them.

So does this mean that City Grocer's is staying put? Or is there room for City Grocer's to expand and add three new retailers?

Wow. I was more referring to shopping even once. Why would you waste your time going in a dept store when there is so much to see and do?

Historic day for the Syndicate! The news doors to the lottery look great (I walk by everyday and just noticed them yesterday!). And since the elevators are up and the doors to the lobby are on, some of the first new renters moved in this afternoon! Yipeee!

I am sure that others here associated with Syndicate could give more detailed info but buying on the 9th floor start closing next week (we are on the 10th and have been told January sometime). We took a peek in some of the more finished units and they looked great! It's going to be easy to get excited about this place!

Yes, the place is really starting to look nice but still quite a bit of work to do. I got a new round of photos today and am more excited than ever to get moved in. I'm still trippin that people are actually now living in the building as it is a milestone. Look for new photos to be posted sometime tomorrow.

PostDec 03, 2007#366

Here is a new round of progress photos. As I stated in the previous post, things still need work but are really starting to shape up. I think the final finished product will be amazing. And LOVE the fitness room which still has some finishing touches coming.

No mirrors in the workout room? Cmon. Everyone knows that people love to look at themselves when they work out.

Great looking units and the cabinets are nice, however, it seems the lighting could be improved - or perhaps it's just the photos.

Well, a lot of lights were not turned on or not connected yet, but you are correct that standard lighting is sometimes lacking. I have learned that you can never have enough lighting and lighting can make a huge difference so always try to add lights where I can. I think I added an additional 24 feet of track lights in my new place.
