375 MPH on rails with paying passengers? Really? Where/when was that?
Might be some minor confusion there. The shinkansen carries paying passengers and has reached 375mph, but did not carry paid passengers during its 375mph record test run. Nevertheless, the point stands that it's superior to anything the hyperloop has accomplished. It still carries passengers at 320mph while working, superior to the hyperloop.

side note*  I am baffled by Musk's apparent latest area of commentary seems to surround the issue of population decline.
It's because he's racist, OP.

Elon Musk is running one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in history, the less said the better.

Haha.  Why do you want to suck me in to the defense of Elon Musk again?  This time even less relevant to the point of the thread.

I hope we can agree to just let history judge on both those points.

^Sorry, 357 not 375. Swapped digits. Still, the point stands. And France holds the current railway speed record with a TGV using two power cars and three trailers on LGV Est between Vaires-sur-Marne (near Paris) and  Vendenheim (near Strasbourg).

Glad we didn't fall for this bs. How much Intercity rail wasn't built or delay because of this scam?

^Hey at least monorails have built a few quaint, if overly costly and complicated transit systems over the last hundred fifty odd years. In about the same span of time vacuum tube trains have consistently failed each and every time. They make nice systems to move letters around at banks, but that's about it.
