^ yawn....there is literally nothing new in that report....and Kevin Demoff did say these reports will get worse before it gets better. :D
IIRC this LaCanfora guy has been cheerleading a move all along. So much so IF the Rams leave he'll show up on moving day with work gloves and a hand cart to load the trucks/vans himself.

All this Rams to LA is coming from him and one other guy....the fact the ESPN hasn't really covered this tells me that we all need to CALM the F down.

La Canfora looks more and more like a mouthpiece on the issue every time he writes a new piece or talks. He's an east-coaster who has no understanding or appreciation of St. Louis. None whatsoever.

He can't fathom that a team in STL would be something anyone would want to own when they could own a team in LA, and he has absolutely no sympathy for what it's been like to be a Rams fan the last decade. He's ready to blame the fans.

Fortunately, his opinions are meaningless, and I'm not convinced his reported is much more than that. I'm not sure if he's being fed info to paint a pretty picture for LA, or to simply create leverage for the NFL and the Rams for a new deal in St. Louis, but I'm almost certain it's info with an agenda rather than real good info.

Just saying, today would have been an especially cool day if the Cards had advanced to get KC in the Series. FOX would have been all over Cards Royals at Busch for Game 5 right after Rams at Chiefs. It would have been nice to redeem the STL duo's 2011 performance when the Rams got their clocks cleaned in Dallas the afternoon of Oct 23, then the Cards were shutout 4-0 as the Rangers tied the series 2-2 a few blocks away.

Looking ahead to Fall 2015 opponents to date (if the Rams stay), teams/cities in play for Cards and Rams to share an NFL-World Series match up day are:

Detroit Tigers (Lions at Rams), Cleveland Indians (Browns at Rams), Seattle Mariners (Rams at Seahawks or Seahawks at Rams), Minnesota Twins (Rams at Vikings), Baltimore Orioles (Rams at Ravens).

Other candidates dependent on same place finisher NFC East: New York Yankees or Texas Rangers (Rams at Giants or Rams at Cowboys). Then same place finisher NFC South: Tampa Bay Rays (Bucs at Rams)

We were down in North Texas that weekend. Even with the losses it was cool.

^I'm sure it was. Unique opportunity to be a part of.

Can someone explain how these guys can look as bad as they do right now? Getting so old. Davis and Greg the broken leg's stocks are rapidly dropping.

I really feel bad for us Rams fan that not only have to deal with the nonsense shenanigans of hearing about the team moving away but have had to deal with a awful football experience. St.Louis deserves better than this even if the team isn't committed to staying at least put together a team thats worth while watching on the field. If Kroenke really think by bolting out of St.Louis L.A. fans are going to support a very bad team then think again. If L.A. couldn't support them then what makes him think they'll support them now?

The rams left LA, what, 20 years ago? Hard to guess if they will support an NFL team when the last time they had the chance was 2 decades ago. Pus, general fans are secondary. The first thought is, will corporations support the NFL team, and if they will, then it's a go. And with Farmers Insurance signing on for the stadium naming rights, I would say it's a good bet that corporations will step up.

La Canfora is at it again. He writes so many stories on the topic, I'm starting to think he is trying to promote a Rams move, via the media. He said some very clear things about the Rams moving and the STL fanbase last week on CBS 920. I am SO sick of the national media painting our fanbase in such a negative light. The Rams are to blame for killing this fanbase, by putting such crap on the field.

How DARE us Rams fan be the first fanbase to try to hold a franchise accountable on the field before entertaining the idea giving a multi-billionaire over a billion dollars in tax subsidies.

Good comment earlier by RedOctober: "...Rams fan that not only have to deal with the nonsense shenanigans of hearing about the team moving away but have had to deal with awful football..."

I can't find a link but KSDK cornered Governor Nixon and asked him about the Rams situation. He claimed they're being very active behind the scenes and will have more significant news after the election. He said we'll also make sure to protect the taxpayers, but also ensure the Rams stay in St. Louis.

Jim Thomas- Rams beat writer

From @jthom1: I'd be absolutely stunned if the Rams sent notice to the league that they were moving on (or before) February 15, 2015.

From @jthom1: This stadium project that @realbburwell has reported on is real. How can the Rams leave if the City puts forth a real solution

I'd think at bare minimum if sometime during November or December the city/state have a press conference that shows off renderings along with the financing proposal there's no way the Rams try to move. And if they do request a move there's no way they get the needed votes.

I want this
(of course, suites and all the bells and whistles too)

I hate how boring stadium design in US is compared to the rest of the world and whats more shocking, its a small number of companies doing them all over the world but here they seem to aim low

PostOct 27, 2014#2292

this could almost be the north river front

I thinks it's a function of what the teams are asking for. A lot of those fancier stadiums you see overseas are still designed by American firms.

Plus look at what's being built in Minnesota and Atlanta: those are both very different "non American" designs. Maybe a new Rams stadium will continue that trend?

The site really could provide us and the NFL with a marquee view. If constructed similarly to C-Link in Seattle with open ends, the Stan Span would be the focal point beyond the north end zone and the Arch/skyline the focal point beyond the south. For the first time there would be a repeated skyline vantage point that promotes the most dense view of downtown.

This project, if done, has to be done right this time. This has to be a LONG term solution like Arrowhead was. It cannot take short cuts. The Rams need a venue that will keep them here for decades to come. NO MORE sweetheart lease provisions. I think we learned our lesson on that as well. I hope this gains steam!

Riverfront stadium with Arch view sounds awesome, but building an strictly open-air stadium seems like a bad move. A retractable roof would give us way more flexibility.

This would fit nicely with the Arch.

PostOct 27, 2014#2298

If we are going to build an open air stadium, and the Rams have said they require something that is in the top tier of stadiums, then I suggest we build an exact duplicate of the stadium that many rankings have at number 1. Lambeau Field. How could the Ram claim we didn't meet their requirements, if we build them an exact duplicate of the stadium everyone says is one of the very best.

I like the idea of a riverfront stadium... but at what cost to the city and taxpayers, and for what? I haven't really been following the move talk too closely, but why would the owners be persuaded to stay just because of a new stadium? Isn't the issue the market size? You can build a fancy new thing and give them a boatload of money, but at the end of the day L.A. has a metro population 6 times that of St. Louis.
