He probably needs several days to come up with a story and response to McKernan's questions on relocation. Let's hope Tim hammers Demoff if he tries to skate around the questions.

That's what I'm hoping some host will do soon. And it's probably unfair to Demoff, but it's the nature of his job.
Just flat out tell Demoff that it's no disrespect, but they're going to do a really hard interview with tough questions. Not softballs and pleasantries. It's time to make them say something.

All of you hit the nail on the head... Let's hope Tim doesn't wuss out and let him give political answers.
Speaking of political answers, Jay Nixon has been the worst lately. He always babbles about wanting to work out a plan to get the Dome up to par and keeping STL a 'big league city' whatever that means. Anyhow, considering he is leading the charge, it worries me that he is talking in circles and avoiding the topic, almost stuttering more than normal, when asked about the topic.
I know I've asked this before, but where is Dave Peacock?? I thought he was the behind the scenes player, trying to bridge the gap between Stan and the region.

Maybe so. But what really matters is what happens after the Rams leave (if they're to leave). Will STL look at the loss as a financial savings or will it instead invest that money into its infrastructure?
Could someone explain to me why LA "needs" two NFL teams? Is it the stadium cost because AT&T cost $1.3Billion and it's only tenant is the Cowboys and the Cotton Bowl. I can't imagine Farmer's Field costing much more than that. If Jerry Jones can fill dates for AT&T with only one NFL team I have no doubt an AEG stadium would have no problem filling dates. Hell, AEG operates the Sprint Center just fine without any team. I hope Anschultz will get the Raiders from Mark Davis and complete his LA Live empire, he already owns like a third of Downtown LA. Maybe then the Rams will stay and this nightmare can be over.
The Raiders are a marquee franchise, just a tier below the Steelers Cowboys Packers Niners Bears and Giants. If Anschultz can clean up this historic franchise and return the NFL to LA, he'd definitely get the votes to keep anyone else out of LA.
Still St. Louis needs to get its sh*t together and keep the Rams.

^The obvious answer is 18,081,569 people..... That size metro, can support 2 teams without question. I know that is obvious, but the NFL views LA and NYC as 2 team markets. Simple as that!

I have it at 12 million and change but anyway London has 8million and it has 5, FIVE Premier League Teams! 5!
In past seasons London area has had up to 8 teams-
Some season the City of Manchester has 5 including the 2 big ones, Man United and Man City
Photo of Liverpool England, bottom is the FC Liverpool stadium and top is Everton stadium
I guess this could be inaccurate. 12 mill, 18 mill, still massive compared to the STL metro.
Regarding London, that is comparing apples to oranges. Futbol/soccer, is really the MAIN game in town. Rugby and Cricket are very popular, but soccer is king. Having a city of 8 million with that many teams, is different than an LA or NYC, for example. The English clubs started out in most cases, over a century ago, more than likely, as small clubs, that represented large concentrated areas of the city. England in general, is not that big, but has a massive tiered soccer league. It is just not the same. Not to mention, a very significant portion of English people, live, eat and breathe soccer. Obviously, some NFL franchises have hardcore fanbases here, but I've been to games in England and there is no comparison. They are nuts about soccer.
Too many signs pointing to LA..... Mike Florio is a legit sports writer. At first you saw this stuff being written by lesser writers. The top-notch guys are all over this now. I don't really care if I'm acting as if the sky is falling. I think it might be.
Seems like either there really is a movement towards LA or the NFL is helping prep the Oakland/San Diego/St. Louis owners' turn of the screws on the taxpayers. Or both.

^^Funny stuff..... ....... ..... However, if you want NFL football in St. Louis (and you may not give a rat's a-s) , you have to, at the very least, take MAJOR notice, to the things going on around the league and beyond. I talk to so many people who have no clue about what is going on with the Rams. They are typically fans, but have not paid one bit of attention to the things happening in the background. I was young when the Cardinals bolted, but according to people I've talked to, it happened just like this MIGHT happen. Lots of people didn't want to believe it could happen or be true. Then when the moving trucks came and the Big Red were on 44 near the New Mexico border, reality set it. Let's hope our politicians are not that clueless!
I truly hope that Rams don't leave however its a business..
I think likely it will be Rams and Raiders back in L.A.
I couldn't see the NFL moving the Chargers out of L.A. because its in the same division as the Raiders so that points everything at the Rams
This is it for NFL in St.Louis
Will be a very sad day once the announcement hits the waves ..

Mike Florio is NOT a legit sports writer. He masquerades as one, but he isn't. He's a hot-headed blogger that found his way into the NBC Sports Network and now gets TV exposure.
But he's a rumor-mongerer and a grudge holder. He's not very respected amongst fans or his peers. And he's long published articles about the Rams "likely" return to LA.
That said, I'm not saying this article is wrong. I think it's very possible. But I just wanted to clear that up on Florio. He's garbage.
I'm actually starting to think the Rams and the NFL are floating this stuff to put pressure on St. Louis and Missouri. Not that they won't actually move, but I'm just thinking the stuff leaking right now is more trying to amp things up than it is actual plans.
Personally, I hope the city doesn't listen. Enough St. Louis charity has gone to a bad sport, a bad league, and a bad organization. (And I'm a die-hard Rams fan currently going through a tough phase where I'm trying to cut football out of my life because I think it's morally reprehensible.)
I don't know that I agree that he is a hack or considered one nationally. I'm sure, as any writer, he has his enemies and critics. I've heard the guy talk on local sports talk radio and he didn't say anything that set of sirens in my head, that I was listening to an uninformed idiot. I can't say I'm an expert on his work, but from what I've seen, he has been respected enough to be a guest on several respectable local radio shows in the past.
As you said though, the article is what it is and so is the mess, that is the ST. LOUIS RAMS. They are bad on the field ( and have been for the better part of a decade) and in the PR dept. Like I said, I'm looking forward to KD's interview with Tim McKernan.
I've heard Mike Sando float the LA stuff too. It is all over the place. I hope you are right, that the Rams and NFL are leveraging LA against STL, to get something moving here. I just feel like there is a real movement to get to LA, within the Rams organization, specifically Stan Kroenke. He will be the ultimate STL villain if he does move the Rams. Worse the Bidwell.
I will say one other thing. I will be the first to call myself a 'chicken-little or whatever, if the Rams stay and all of this worrying is for nothing. I would gladly eat crow and admit I was wrongly on the ledge, if they stay. I hope I have to do that. Better than the alternative!
What information from the Rams Organization specifically says they are trying to get to LA? I am not surprised by all of the media rush because it happens every year. Now there are three teams all able to leave if they want, one of which owns land over there. This was inevitable, and in defense of the Rams, Demoff said this was going happen. He said expect it to get ugly. I have come to peace with fact that they could flee, but I still don't see any evidence that it is playing out differently than anyone closely tied to the process expected, save for potentially STL being slow to publish an offer-which hopefully isn't too devastating.
As far as the GridBirds, my dad had season tickets from '77 to their exit, and I was also a young kid who only made it into Busch for football a few times (I actually vividly remember a Patriots/Jets (?) exhibition game in the old Busch. My dad said that the Cards' move was no surprise as they punted around ideas for a stadium for a few years. The decision may have been quick when finally executed but it's not as if the rug was pulled out from under the city. I don't see how Stan could go without another proposition from the city/state which Slay has made public will go to a vote at some point.
I read an interesting semi conspiracy theory over the weekend: The Rams' naming rights and logo are purchased from Stan and given to an expansion team in LA (kind of like the new Browns), then Stan sells his land to the league (hence why he informed them of the purchase) for their stadium. Then our current Rams are rebranded; new name, colors, logo, stadium (hence Demoff dropping the uniform change)....wild stuff. The league forces Davis to sell and puts them into AEG based downtown LA stadium project. 2 teams in LA, only one franchise move. We are safe. Talk about a pipedream, but something about the plan seems crazy enough to work, especially for a guy like Stan who would bank on two land transactions (if we give him some) and naming rights.
