There were mentions 5 a week for Lufthansa by next spring and it would be helpful for Bosnians, right now the Wednesday flight gets to Frankfurt at 7:55am Thursday and idk why but it's the only day the direct to Sarajevo leaves at 8pm and not 9:55am like the rest of the week
Lufthansa's pattern of flights / connections is positively mental. I fly GLA - FRA a lot for work, and every day it's some random time, then random weeks it also switches. Some days - 6 am flight to FRA. Cool. Other days - first flight is 1 pm. How does that help? augh.

Thanks for that data- it sure feels like the loads are high when you are on planes these days.  Any word on restoring OAK or SFO on any airline?

I recently booked the Lufthansa flight for the fall.  I tried to do the same (through United, where my miles are) and the prices were wild.  $Thousands more for the same flights on United (I tried multiple combinations of depart/return).  Ended up booking through the Lufthansa website.  You can still include your United miles number when booking.

What's the deal with these low numbers for LaGuardia and Newark?

Airlines were forced to fly theirs slots again in NYC and DCA even though the demand wasn’t there yet.

Oakland is back once a week on Southwest starting in Sep. Sundays for Sept/Oct. Saturday for Nov/Dec
SFO is "scheduled" to start back up for United in January. Nothing on SFO for Southwest.
SJC is Saturdays now. Goes back to daily in September.

I've done something like 20-30 flights this year and there haven't been more than 3/4 seats open on a single one. Including TATL widebody. It's crazy.

The only thing I miss about COVID is flying TATL you got the full row to yourself.

Updated Non-Stop map on flystl. Wish they put GermanyFRA inset like other maps do. This line to nowhere is kinda weird. Happy to see that red spider growing though!

This isn't STL content but I don't know where else to share it and it's very strange.  I was laying over at Midway this week and noticed a Southwest flight from Midway to O'Hare:
https://flightaware.com/live/flight/SWA ... /KMDW/KORD
It would not come up on Southwest's website, but it was listed on the departures board in the airport (with a gate).

Probably just a reposition. I know it's not the same, but I've seen Orlando to Tampa repositions by Southwest.

Apple vacations has had it for awhile (brief hiatus during covid). VivaAerobus is flying it this summer for them. Along with HUX/SJD.

Not sure when/if we had regularly scheduled service there.

I wish they would go back to the map they had about a year ago. It was much cleaner.

I'm sure if you dig Southwest probably moves planes around the Los Angeles and SF Bay areas.

I caught the back half of the airport commission meeting today

Nothing super noteworthy

New terminal wise it seems like things are moving along. It was mentioned they are just extending the current airport usage agreement another year so they can flush out new terminal stuff. They will be negotiating on new terminal fees/etc with airlines soon.

Eddie Bauer in C is turning into a store, I can't remember the name, that will be selling activewear and beach related items. They are going to use it to market to the vacationers going to Florida and beach destinations on Spirit and Frontier.

I loved the Eddie Bauer store in C.  Wonder what the new store is.
