Looking on Google Earth Historical Images, looks like both C29 and C30 have jet bridges now.
Looks like you might be right. I hadn't seen anything about them adding in the other one yet. I figured if they hadn't they would soon. Good catch!

I assume this means they take C30 then. That way if they want a 2nd gate I am thinking they would want C28 since they are on the same side of the concourse. Easier to work back and forth that way. But I don't know how much that really matters. Someone in here might know better than me.

Stl-Miami starts on Southwest may 9th. Daily.

Also Oakland, Seattle, and San Jose come back then also. (San Jose is running now but takes a break in April).

Pensacola moves to 5 days a week from just Saturday. Guessing in response to Spirit.

Southwest adding Myrtle beach starting in June. Saturday and Sunday.

United adding Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head starting late May. 3x a week.

Hope you all like Myrtle beach!

Georgia and it's ridiculous government/governor have decided to cut tax breaks for Delta Airlines as of this evening in a new bill.  Their temper tantrum is related to Delta's CEO calling the states new voter laws "unacceptable" and "based on lies".   The tax break cut could/will cost Delta up to a billion dollars and ultimately affect Georgia jobs and largest powerhouse corporation.

https://www.rawstory.com/georgia-house- ... -airlines/

Delta may just get "even" with moving operations out of Atlanta and it's mega monopoly airport.  I say - do it Delta!
Georgia has got to be one of the most backward states I have ever been to.  Many people think that ATL is "so wonderful" but is one of the most segregated cities (much like STL) but has even a more "sinister" past that remains intact today.  It is a true Bible belt city where Christianity rules politicians and dictates social and economical aspects on that city.  The city has conservative religious mega-companies like Hobby Lobby and Chic-fil-a that are endorsed in a state - where if located anywhere else would be more scrutinized.

This is where we here in STL need to be more proactive - meaning - remember the NFL stadium proposal that would cost $1.1 billion?  Well let's propose a new airport terminal just for Delta for the same amount.  We have the companies to propose it, design it and back it.  Enterprise is one of Delta's partners and is the Official Airline of the St. Louis Cardinals.  This is where the city should think forward... offer up real bargaining, tax credits, fuel credits, blah blah blah.  We have an amazing runway infrastructure already and plenty of land room to expand on... I would think it would be a coup and proposal to attract attention and STL's major corporations would support indeed.

That's a good attitude and some good points. But I don't see Delta running from a vindictive Georgia governor into the arms of the Missouri Legislature.

We can always dream.  I've always though Delta's Minneapolis and Detroit hubs were too close.  NWA legacies.  One would have to die for us to have a shot.  The O & D traffic in Atlanta is a monster.  Can't see Delta walking away from that biz.

Updated route map from the airport. Although it’s missing Quincy and has Fort Dodge, which it shouldn’t anymore.

Funny how we have puddle jumper flights to Marion, Owensboro, and Kirksville, but no service to Memphis, Louisville or Cincy.

3 of those cities have subsidized flights, and 3 of those cities don't.

I obviously haven't been paying attention - when did STL lose nonstops to YYZ/Toronto?

I could be wrong, I thought they were just suspended due to the pandemic and would be returning  Lambert still lists them as an airline.

Pandemic related. TBD on when it is coming back. They told the airport probably not til 2022. They have cut most of their USA flying.

Related to Matguy70's idea of STL reaching out to Delta Airlines...

The Hollywood Reporter: New Jersey Attempts to Poach Georgia's Film Business Amid Backlash to State's New Voting Law

Ideally, STL should be ready to step up and game for any potential economic opportunity, literally at a moment's notice, where another City/State screws up bad enough that it could be vulnerable to us grabbing their in-play opportunities. I'm reminded of when Salesforce was looking to set up a big operation in Indianapolis but pulled back when the State of Indiana's legislature was proposing a new "anti-gay" law. What's going on in ATL/GA is very, very similar. We've done it before when Boeing's Washington plant was going through union troubles, how we proposed luring the 777X assembly to STL. While we didn't get the whole thing, we did get new manufacturing for the 777X's wings and tails, which I'm pretty sure was the first time the STL Boeing assembly began work on commercial airliners (as opposed to its focus on military aircraft production). I would wager that our main economic development teams have likely reached out to certain possible prospects in ATL/GA because of this. Maybe, just maybe, we could lure some more Delta to STL (although geographic competition with Minneapolis would be tough to overcome).

Would be a bit of a short sighted reaction on Delta's part to move from an increasingly purple state (GA) to an increasingly red state (MO) to protest/take a stand against the actions of the GA legislature.   Anything they're mad about (or feigning to be mad about) in GA will only be duplicated and improved upon in MO.

^Without disagreeing, it doesn't hurt to inquire and present the benefits of Delta increasing flights at STL. Not like I'm holding my breath on them relocating their HQ to the old TWA offices or anything like that. The worst they can say is "No, thanks."

Frontier adding 4x weekly service to ORD in June

^Just saw that in your Twitter thread. That's darned interesting. I don't know Frontier that well, but their network struck me as a lot more hub and spoke than your typical low cost carrier; kind of a hybrid hub and spoke LCC for national service with some point to point for the purely leisure market. Maybe I'm really not reading that right. But Chicago isn't really what I'd call a leisure flight out of St. Louis. If you're wanting a low cost Chicago experience you just drive. It's not that far. (Heck, my brother's been known to drive to Chicago just for the cheap flights. Crazy fool that he is.) If you're flying I'd have guessed you were probably either going for business or to make a connection to get to someplace further afield. (Friends do the former and I've done the latter plenty. But whenever Chicago was my final destination I've always just driven. After all, it's so close . . . Okay, maybe I'm weird.) Still, this feels odd to me. What does everyone else make of it?

^ Nope not weird and would say an easy drive.   I got to know the version of a  cheap flight up and down I-55 and the corn fields view that went with it very well when living in Chicago area and dating my wife living in St. Louis.   Went for the upgrade and more comfortable seats that came with it but kept the corn field view via METRA into Chicago Union Station and Amtrak down to St. Louis a few times.  However,  what was a long early morning and or late afternoon/evening drive turned into all day affair with the upgrade.  So back to the single seat self serve cheap I-55 flight w cheap coffee to go with it.

I'm not going to hate on adding STL>ORD flights. Gives you another option if flying to ORD for a international trip.

Or if just going to Chicago for business: especially if it's something around O'Hare.

I wonder how many people realize that you can walk off the plane, take a short walk and catch the L to downtown Chicago ORD.  Pretty convenient.  Will be even more convenient if they upgrade with express service.   Might be the case already but it has been a lot of years since using.

Agree, the more flights the better.  Especially from business perspective where time has a lot of value.

I understand the "drive to Chicago" crowd and pre-COVID would go up there multiple times a year. But:
-I swear with all the IDOT work on I-55 the drive to Chicago is 30 to 45 minutes longer that it used to take.
-traffic is worse
-parking is a lot more expensive.
