^Yeah, her mom's best friend lives in Mid County. She's usually visiting them with her family for Thanksgivings.

... So I've heard.

^ wow, i didn't realize the STL elite were single-handedly responsible for unleashing COVID on the city's poor and working class! and the Lake of the Ozarks is a getaway for suburban Missourians. city folks don't go there! who knew?

i'm no fan of the elite but that article is a little ridiculous.

Was watching “Selling Sunset” on Netflix and they have a few shots of St. Louis featuring Lambert, the Arch, the Cathedral Basilica, and Busch, including an aerial shot over downtown.

Interesting to see exburban cities listed (Bremerton, WA, Lowell MA) and actual suburbs (Warren MI).  I wouldn't have included since they are part of the Seattle, Boston and Detroit markets.

Great see the rehabbed Kiener Plaza as the setting for the roll call for Missouri delegates at the DNC.

If the GOP does the same format next week I seriously doubt they will use STL, or KC even--as a backdrop.

Bass Pro maybe?

Probably. Since the McCloskey's are already speaking I guess it won't be them. Though if there was ever a symbol of the 15% of the urban vote Trump gets it would be them. Hated by their neighbors and irresponsibly armed.

I could also see it being the ten commandments monument out in front of the state capitol. Or just the state capitol building if it's unwrapped yet. (Haven't been down that way in a while, so that may not really be an option.)

^ It’s pretty much unwrapped. I’m out that way quite a bit.

You know things are bad when a carjacking in St. Louis makes the New York Post (the 80-year old victim sounds like she's got spunk, at least):

^ The "spunk" is why it made the NY Post.  That's kind of their whole shtick lol.  The next article "recommended for me" was about a model losing work because of her unibrow.

It's a sh*tty right-wing tabloid...don't take it personally.

“Ephrim wanted $300, claiming she needed it to feed five hungry children, the victim said. A Schnucks security guard, meanwhile, told investigators that customers reported seeing Ephrim trying to sell a shotgun in the store’s parking lot prior to the stickup, charging documents show.”

I don’t know weather to laugh or cry. Probably both.

Trust me guys, I don't normally read The Post; that story just popped up in a random news feed on my phone. Stupid algorithms.

I though that looked like the Chain of Rocks Bridge...

New horror movie, The Empty Man, partially filmed in Edwardsville and at the Chain of Rocks bridge:

how potentially hundreds of thousands  of dollars and more "went missing" in St. Louis
Bolton described the St. Louis vault as in constant disorder.
“At the end of the night, I would be freaking out about thousands (of dollars) missing, and other people weren’t,” Bolton said. “When there was a shortage or an overage it wasn’t a big deal because it happened just that often.”
