Isn't that good? It's against MLB and the stadium's policies to make disparaging comments about someone's gender identity or sexual orientation.JaneJacobsGhost wrote: ↑Sep 13, 2025Yet on those other days they don’t invite people to come bash the transgender community

This isn't true; the team is eligible for a top-10 pick next year and currently sits at #8 with a 2.35% chance at the #1 pick.JaneJacobsGhost wrote: ↑Aug 02, 2025Feels like the tailspin is going to continue which sucks because no matter the final record, the Cardinals can’t pick in the top-10 next draft.
Based on the end-of-season pressers, I'm even more convinced that the DeWitts/ownership are the primary cause of the team's recent malaise. BD III especially seems incredibly tone-deaf. Hopefully Bloom can turn it around but with the mixed reviews of him out of Boston he may just be a continuation of the current FO with a higher focus on internal talent over FA expenditure. Wouldn't even be the worst thing since ownership does not seem to understand aging curves or the sunk-cost fallacy. Fortunately Bloom's overseen the minor league development overhaul already and he seems to have convinced ownership to significantly expand and refine the scouting departments; hopefully analytics can be increased as well.

Thanks for the correction. Dewitts are certainly to blame

Tony Vitello, Tennessee baseball head coach, gets hired as manager by the SF Giants. First guy to take this kind of leap. Vitello is a St. Louis native. Wouldn’t had minded Cardinals taking a fresh direction like this but would be an interesting guy to look at for Cardinals manager in a couple years if he has success
MLB teams lost a collective $1.8 billion in 2025 according to Bob Nightengale.

I'll be more happier if he concentrates on bringing STL (and Missouri) an NFL team.

The DeWitts have no plan or desire to sell. If anything, they should bring Hoffman in as a minority owner. He has a lot of " Jack ".framer wrote: ↑7:30 PM - Feb 05That Hoffman wine guy says he wants to buy the Cardinals.
Are you sure about that?

Bill Dewitt Jr just spoke about how the plan is for BD3 to take over, and eventually even the next generation of their family. I guess it’s possible he’s just saying that, but I really doubt the team is for sale.jeff707 wrote:Are you sure about that?
I do agree they should bring Hoffman in as a minority owner though.

“cruddy Cardinals” and “you can’t let the economies of Cincinnati and St. Louis bring everybody else down, that’s a Mandami effect”
I mean the Cardinals have been a premier brand in baseball pretty consistently for 100 years. Looping them in with the A’s, Pirates, White Sox and Marlins and throwing cruddy in front of them seems a little harsh.
Also don’t know why we needed the second shot at the St. Louis’s economy thrown in there
StL with top ratings for WBC games despite no Cardinal on USA roster

Major League Baseball has been de-charmed – dehumanized – by grotesque rule changes

I watch these games and these teams blast their sing along win songs after. I saw a graphic where the Cardinals are one of the only teams without one now
Cardinals are in a reset era where they can create new traditions for the next generation of fans - would love to see some trials in a win song that gets the crowd going and sticking around to celebrate a win
I also saw a different video where Busch was one of the only stadiums where they didn’t list a quirky ballpark feature. I think if there are renovations in the near future, it could be a fun thing to add a new StL ode/twist to something in the ballpark, even something in play (like a fence feature)
Anyways, cardinals keep playing inspiring ball, lots of grit. Fun start for a young team all things considered
If anyone has ideas, I’d love to hear them

Free bird is a great victory song, it’s just too bad USA hockey beat us to it and is synonymous with that song now.
Some other thoughts on improving the experience at Busch:
-They should consider re-designing the outfield bleachers and dimensions. It would be interesting to see Busch have a little more quirky dimensions, or at least move the fences in a bit to make it less of a pitchers ballpark. I would also love to see the Cardinals Unlimited tickets expanded to the outfield bleachers and make them General Admission like at Wrigley. This would help bring a party atmosphere and excitement that is currently missing from Busch
-The cardinals should remove some of the advertisements around the ballpark and be more selective with the companies they associate with. Like most stadiums, Busch has become oversaturated with advertisements. It would be better for their brand and the aesthetics of the stadium to have a select few exclusive partners that fit their brand. (Ex: Anheuser-Busch, Ford, Coca Cola, McDonalds, etc)
-Add a manual out of town scoreboard like Sportsman’s Park and Busch Stadium 2 had
-They need to find a way to create more shade at the stadium. Those day games during the summer are just brutal in the St. Louis heat. More cooling fans and misting zones would go a long way too

Freebird is a good victory song. It is having a widely popular moment post the Anheuser Busch super bowl commercial. If we could get it to stick, all for it
I would love to see them use a manual scoreboard (they have the one from Busch II by the concourse). I imagine the Sportsman Park one is somewhere….
I’ve long thought they should bring the light up AB eagle sign into the ballpark that is sitting along I-64 and turn on its lights and animations after home runs. Talk about perfect advertising
