And a Walgreen's on Chouteau. That's a great location and would be busy
That already exists. It is just a Walgreen's pharmacy only location.STLinCHI wrote: ↑Jan 29, 2024And a Walgreen's on Chouteau. That's a great location and would be busy

This graphic also lists a Walgreens east of the Rallys? Has that been announced or confirmed?

^ as mentioned above; that is already there, a pharmacy only Walgreens
SMH. And they might put surface parking on the vacant lot south of La Salle. The building is about 250 feet from Grand
When I see renderings like this with a smattering of trees I figure they don’t want the rendering obscured by a dense canopy but would likely plant more in reality (not often the case though)
An unattractive setback could be made less hostile by planting groves of shade trees.

$63M building permit application submitted for a pedestrian bridge at 1315 S Grand (Desloge) by SSM SLU hospital. Anyone know where all it will go? $63M is too much just to connect two buildings. Or a typo for $6.3M?
There is a fence around the former Pevely building lot and some digging on on that lot.
What is that about? ty

The more cranes visible from the 64 corridor the better, some big ones coming down soon between the Foundry Phase Two and Deslodge building
I'm surprised you haven't posted the updated renderings yet @Chris Stritzel . These are from St Louis Developments Group on FB, posted by Chris. It appears the project grew in height, from the previous render? Is that correct? :

tallest crane they'll have on site is 320 feet and another at 280

I like that Midtown continues to get some modern buildings and height. Continues to fill in the east-west skyline. I like the design of the building.
I wish the building would have met the corner of Grand-Chouteau with a parking garage tucked behind. If Barnes Jewish can do it in tighter space, SLU can.
That area has gotten good investment but we are treating the area too much like it’s Brentwood or Chesterfield. Armory, Top Golf, Edwin/Target, Slu hospital are all awesome to have around Grand Station. Yet none of them build with the station in mind and have designed heavy on an abundance of surface parking.
A little disappointing to not get off at Grand Station and be in the middle of a bustling, modern revamped industrial district that it should be. The area is about as intentionally unwalkable as it gets.

I’ve been quiet on most forums where I’m a member recently, work is requiring more of my time and since I haven’t been a resident of St. Louis for a while now, I’ve started to dial back how much I share or do in regards to St. Louis stuff. Thanks for sharing these though.
The new Cardinal Glennon will be nice and give kids a great place for care. Cardinal Glennon is a hospital that assisted me with cancer care growing up and took care of my brother and sister with their own medical emergencies and conditions. It’s good to see them build such a nice new facility. Wishing them the best from afar.
