It's the kind exterior redo, I suppose, that will likely grab your attention when you least expect it.
Although money could have been a factor, I just wish they could have re-skinned THE WHOLE building in glass. They wouldn't have needed to remove any material from the existing structure - just simply cloaked it in glass.
Overall, I am happy that SLU's Biondi made the decision. It's a win for downtown and a win for SLU.
Once it is finished, perhaps there won't be a need for a total re-skinning/re-cladding in the future. We'll see.pjeckelkamp wrote:Money is the factor. At last check, eventually re-skinning the whole building is a possibility. They made the decision to use available resources on the interior, rather than exterior, for I'd imagine obvious reasons.
Hopefully one day!
I think SLU wants that for its main campus in midtown; I'm sure they understood that doesn't make as much sense downtown.Anglophile wrote:I'm just thankful this whole thing was accomplished without a single demo, which is shocking for SLU. You know how much SLU loves its green space and parking.
Took me a minute to get the joke.Presbyterian wrote:University of Texas Law School?
